That makes sense. But what about the allegations that China has grabbed land of India through incursions and construction activities ?

They also blame India for construction in the disputed area..... But some how all the protests or violations have been peaceful, and both the armies knows that it will take one bullet to change the entire boarder raw to a different direction, very different from what has been happening for past 50 years

What I think is, china is holding back until proper infrastructure is in place to quickly transport soldiers and ammunition from tibet to LAC and from mainland to tibet. So if a decisive action is taken to quickly occupy strategic points a proper supply chain is in place. India has just started building infrastructure last year.

Well, India was late in reacting to china, and today china is way ahead in creating road and rail infra.... Where as India has started a year back only....More over the terrain is much worse in India's case.But i dont think India or china attack each other in near future, Not because they fear, just because the cost they need to pay..... It is not worth a cost to pay for that peace of land.....

China always had this advantage, a big one. They had infra in place for a long time now.

NEW DELHI: Apart from nuclear missile bases in Qinghai province which clearly target India, China has built five fully-operational airbases, an extensive rail network and over 58,000 km of roads in Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR).

People's Liberation Army is also rapidly upgrading several other airstrips in TAR as well as south China, to add to the five airbases from where Chinese Sukhoi-27UBK and Sukhoi-30MKK fighters have practised operations in recent times.

Moreover, with extensive road-rail links in TAR, PLA can amass upwards of two divisions (30,000 soldiers) at their "launch pads'' along the border in just 20 days now compared to the over 90 days it took earlier.

20 days is still not enough. Hypothetically speaking, before international reaction kicks in, China not only need to occupy but solidify their positions. As per my estimates, they would need a response time of 3-7 days to achieve this feat.

Simple....That is how this dispute has been handled since 1962... Both the armies maintain no fire stand.... But that is not the case in LoC..... More over no one want to cross over to India.... Even when chinese crosses over to the land claimed by India,(vice versa)they themselves go back..... Is it the case in Loc??

Not after 1962.,there were skirmishes even after that..i think its after Rajiv Gandhi visit to China both parties agreed on no fire policy..now a days its just kids game for the soldiers.. It seems that the first thing that Pakistani members on this forum do early in the morning is they Google the tearms India,China and war and LAC and find out such news.I say this cause in today's India Pakistan has become a sort of a non-entity and the only time that Pakistan comes up on Indian media is when some cease fire violations take place,a dignitary level visit takes place or something really good or bad happens in Pakistan like when Rahman Malik was thrown out of a passenger plane recently it was applauded by the media and when all that dharna by Imran Khan and Qadri was taking place but other than that Pakistan hardly ever makes it to the news and that too not for anything positive.But when on this forum it seems to me that most Pakistanis on this forum have or rather they like to have this idea that India and China are on the brink of war and whenever a war or even a minor skirmish would happen China would obliterate India and hence the longing of the Pakistanis to see India defeated and on the loosing side would be realized via their illegitimate father which Pakistanis never fathom to even dream of accomplishing by themselves !!!And this is but natural for a country which have not been able to accomplish anything worthwhile even after 68 years of independence. What a shame!!!I myself have been tuning across news channels throughout the day and the only news which has taken the forefront here is the news about all that is happening in U.P. due to the misdoings of Charan Singhs son,Scottish referrandum and not even for once did I come across any news about Chumar.
