The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) reportedly dispatched a record-breaking number of 38 warplanes, mostly fighters and bombers, near the island of Taiwan for exercise on Friday with activities during both day and night on Friday.

The PLA exercise was a routine one despite taking place on the National Day in the mainland, but it showed the increasing combat preparedness and determination of the PLA over the island of Taiwan, Chinese mainland experts said on Saturday.

25 PLA aircraft, namely 18 J-16 fighter jets, four Su-30 fighter jets, two H-6 bombers and a Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, entered the island of Taiwan's self-proclaimed southwest air defense identification zone on Friday, Taiwan's defense authorities said in a press release on the day.

Later on Friday, Taiwan's defense authorities published a separate press release, saying that at night, 13 additional PLA aircraft, namely 10 J-16 fighter jets, two H-6 bombers and a KJ-500 early warning aircraft, entered the island of Taiwan's self-proclaimed southwest air defense identification zone. The J-16s and the H-6s went on and circled to the southeast side of the island, before returning to the mainland, the press release show.

This means a total of 38 PLA aircraft were involved in the PLA exercise near the island of Taiwan on Friday, breaking the previous record of 28 aircraft on June 15.

The PLA is increasing the scale of exercises near the island of Taiwan, and this is normal and routine, Song Zhongping, a Chinese mainland military expert and TV commentator, told the Global Times on Saturday.

The PLA needs more deployment to deter the armed forces on the island and foreign interference, so it is necessary that related drills become of larger scale, Song said.

Both day and night are time a battle can take place, so the PLA must be ready to fight and win even during nighttime, Song said, noting that the PLA's capabilities in this aspect are being boosted significantly.

Friday is National Day in the mainland, and the PLA's exercise displayed its capability in safeguarding national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is a very practical way to celebrate the day, Song said.

On the same day on Friday, the Center for Strategic and International Studies released its conversation with Dr. Kathleen H. Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense, during which the US senior official said the US is monitoring the situation on the island of Taiwan very carefully and the US has “a significant amount of capability forward in the region to tamp down” the mainland’s military actions toward the island.

However, experts warned that if a military conflict does break out over the Taiwan Straits, the selfish opportunists – the US may retreat once they see no way to reap the benefits, just like they did in Afghanistan. And the Chinese mainland has sufficient means and strong capabilities to solve the Taiwan question once and for all.

Only one day after the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) dispatched 38 warplanes near the island of Taiwan for exercise on Friday, breaking the previous record set in June, it again refreshed this record on Saturday, sending a total of 39 aircraft of different types near the island during both day and night, according to defense authorities on the island.

The 20 PLA aircraft, namely 14 J-16 fighter jets, four Su-30 fighter jets, and two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, entered the island of Taiwan's self-proclaimed southwest air defense identification zone on Saturday, Taiwan's defense authorities said in a press release published the same day.

On early Sunday, Taiwan's defense authorities published a separate press release, saying that at Saturday night, 19 additional PLA aircraft, namely 12 J-16 fighter jets, six Su-30 fighter jets and a KJ-500 early warning aircraft, entered the island of Taiwan's self-proclaimed southwest air defense identification zone.

Both exercises, featuring a total of 39 PLA aircraft, were held in areas between the island of Taiwan and the Dongsha Islands in the South China Sea, the press releases stated.

This also means that the previous record of 38 PLA warplanes taking part in the drills near the island of Taiwan in a day was eclipsed only one day after it was set.

Chinese mainland military expert Song Zhongping told the Global Times on Saturday that the increasing scale of exercises is normal and routine since the PLA needs more deployment to deter armed forces on the island and foreign interference from other nations.

Nighttime drills are important because combat could take place at any time, Song said.

The record-breaking PLA exercises over the past two days could also be related to recent movements of US aircraft carriers, some other Chinese mainland military analysts said.

Both the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Carl Vinson aircraft carriers were sailing in waters near the island of Taiwan on September 27, the news website of the US Naval Institute reported on the day.

Seriously the PLA should stop this circus. Just wasting other people’s time and fuel. How long will you do? One year, two years or hundred years?
History shows there are only two ways to unite the country: either by war or peaceful means.
the Qin united the Han tribes after crushing all other opponents. north VN crushed south VN. North Korea tried and failed.
Or just like this: the East Germans just ran away from the regime and went to West Germany. Peaceful takeover.

The One Country Two Systems model was designed for Taiwan, but implemented in Hong Kong first to win over the Taiwanese people’s trust in China. We all know how that went.

Taiwan (ROC) thinks it's about them, but this was most likely an attack exercise on US Carrier currently sailing near Okinawa.

Imagine a coordinated attack with Supersonic Cruise Missiles (air and sea launched) and IN THE SAME TIME Antiship Ballistic Missiles, add some Hypersonic Glide Vehicles (DF-17). Very few chances of survival for that carrier

That’s not a serious offer.
Imagine you are Taiwanese. Now mainlanders say hey we are one country you are degraded to a province, no more sovereign, no army, no foreign policy, no say in taxes, no say in jurisdiction.
Would you hand over your fate into a hand of a Ccp clique in Beijing?

Time is siding with Chinese at this moment

Don’t take me wrong. I am patient too. I support Ccp policy. Just keep up wasting fuels.
Beijing taking over Taiwan would be a bigger nightmare a bigger military threat to Vietnam.

Fuel is rare for a country like Vietnam, but very abundant for China.

That's why your small airforce mostly grounded at this moment, meanwhile Chinese fighters pilot keeps training very hard day & night when your pilot sleep in barrack or reading magazine in waiting room

.
It won’t be long before 100+ aircraft are doing patrols. China has now decided it is time. You are witnessing the end game for Taiwan.

. .
Washingtons puppet regime has been ranting about these patrols every day for years.
PLAN is getting larger and more sophisticated so they are bound to have more complex trainings in China.
