Not really, its a media speculation. It has been a routine for f-16s and cn-235s to conduct reconnaissance over Northern Iraq, against PYD and PKK. Its just that they made it public to advertise the first ever active use of E-7T after Ukraine crisis.

When Malaysian Airlines MH-17 was shot down, our SIGINT CASA was near the incident area. There is so much which isn't published .
YAS is coming, ceasefire is broken. Maybe preelections will be made. If Syria boarder crisis escalates, PKK will try to attract attention in our dangerous countries triangle Turkey - Irak- Iran. Nobody knows what Iran will do, which is "obviously" an Syrian ally and agreed on nuclear negotiations with the West. Hot summer and mor hot autumn ...

Well.. SIGINT CN-235 isn't used on those 'missions.. They have a specialised plane developed with Havelsan, only equipped with cameras..

You are absolute right with open skies planes.

Sorry it was my mistake. I remember that some countries claimed that Turkey was flying Sigint mission in Black Sea. But Turkey announced that it was mission Open Skies.

It is not connected with this Topic but at that time were many SIGINT/ELINT NATO missions in the Black Sea and Ukrainian boarders.

I believe that we flew NATO missions at that time and some wanted to shoot the ball in our field.
Russian Elint/Sigint missions along Turkish Black Sea Coast could have been the answer to all that what happened.

If embargo is falling, Iran can not act like a terror state or support if they really want to do business with west and to be hold serious.
