Pilots dead as Army Aviation Mushak aircraft crashes

Sorry to hear about the sad loss. May Allah rest their souls in peace.

Mushak, Saab MF-17a, don't have ejection system, neither do the pilots wear parachutes. They are less stable compared to L-19s - aircrafts flown by Army Avn before Saabs were bought in early 70s.

Pilots wore parachutes in L-19s and could easily jump out the side door if need be, which I doubt if any did. L-19 was a very stable aircraft and pilots loved it. Since it was a tail wheeler, it could be put down almost on piece of land, even on rough ploughed fields.

Do Army Aviators still wear black band on arm to condole loss of a comrade?
