If you count UN vote against Israel today as a protest (because that is all that it is), then the picture of the result belongs here. Pakistan, India, and many other countries condemn Israel. Only one vote in favor of Israel - guess which country? USA

I am confused, both Russia's vote YES and India's vote Yes? Putin said to be side with Israel few weeks ago and India government refused to condemn Israel?

Straight from Horse's mouth, as they say - UNHRC in Geneva. Indian government understands International Relations better than PDF Indians.

It is a vote for Establishment of a Commission of Inquiry. USA must have fought on behalf of Israel against it. But poor ol' USA can not swim against the tide. This is not the first time this has happened.

It's just lip service to be honest so as to not anger the gulf states. Besides , this was a vote for setting up an independent inquiry, very different from condemning , so no problem in that.

It's not a vote to condemn Israel. It's a vote to set up an independent inquiry. Besides , India has always voted against Israel historically at such UN meetings and Israel understands our compulsions since we import billions of barrels of oil from gulf states. The Indian authorities probably call the Israelis right after these votes, say sorry and they both have a good laugh.
