Some historical places to visit


Khan Klub (club)
Traditional atmosphere, it is 200 years old restored Sikh Haveli (merchant’s house). It is has 7 rooms traditionally decorated with Lapis Stone

Walk to the old City towards the Hindu Temple, explore the temple and walk through the ladies clothe market.


See Sethi houses, This street was at the heart of the traditional business community and gained its name from the powerful Sethi family which at one time conducted highly profitable trade with Russia, China, India and Central Asia.

Cunningham Clock Tower
It was built in 1900 by Balmukund to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, and in honour of Sir George Cunningham who became the governor of N.W.F.P
