The Ark hotel is shaped just like a rainbow and is built with wooden arches, of steel cables and a layer of self-cleaning plastic rather than glass to give it a fantastic fresh look.

The hotel shook as the arch can be adapted to land and water. It is built to stay afloat in case of floods or flood waters. The 14,000 square feet of shell-shaped structure of arcs and cable distributes the weight evenly, which means it can withstand earthquakes. Natural light is filtered through local domestic grounds of the hotel see-through structure, reducing lighting needs.

The Ark Hotel China is designed is such a away that it uses UPS power to utilize alternative energy sources through solar panels and a system of rainwater harvesting to fulfill the needs of the people regarding power and water.

The Door of Hell is actually located in Derweze in Turkmenistan. This Illuminating hole is 70 meters wide and its flames touch the sky creating a spectacular light show especially at night.

The Door of Hell began to fire flames when Russian geologists decided to burn off natural gas they discovered while drilling at the site in 1971 and tapped into a cavern filled with natural gas.

But during drilling the ground, the drilling rig distorted, eventually creating a big hole with a diameter of 70 meters. The team was worried about the release of poisonous gases, so they decided to burn it off.

At that time, it was assumed that the hole would cool down within a few as the whole fuel will burn out but the gas is still burning widely till today.

Notably, the flames of the door of hell generate a golden glow which is visible from miles around Derweze, a village with a population of only 350 persons.

The site where the door of hell is burning is about 260 kilometers north of Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

Amazingly enough, the country’s president, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, visited the site in 2010 and ordered to close the door of hell, but till now it is burning with zeal and zest.
