What's new

PIA's new cabin crew uniform

I think this is the best. In jade green relieved by broad chevrons these stewardesses must have been a shining ornament to any PIA flight. And the white gloves add an especially classy touch, a statement that respect, comfort, and cabin cleanliness are the stewardesses chief concerns.

Of course back then - before the U.S./British revised airline regulations in the early 1980s - airlines competed more on service then on price. But really, why can't we at least have white gloves today?
BEST of de BEST

Why follow others when we have our own culture to represent like Indian ones represents theirs? We dont need to be clones now :coffee:
Haha! The culture trap. :pleasantry:
If we are taking the Culture 101 Bus then where's the dupatta for the ladies and it's should a big one because that will decide the level of morality.Let's not forget about the practise of pardha (ghund/ghunghat) in front of the male passengers.

No one travels in Air India with their awfully coloured sarees and there are plenty of ways to showcase culture other than a cabin crew dress.

dupatta and scarf will be included once they piece the entire uniorm together

HATE IT! they lack life and charm. They are too drab to look attractive and looking at our skin-tone, they would generally make the female cabin staff ugly.

Nice to know you people look for clothes rather than services you will get when you travel!

Well, Pakistanis are obviously different than your Indian mindset! :enjoy:

@Akheilos,

Pakistani - pakka desi. I am sharing my opinion. Not everything we do is great and when it is not, I should be honest enough to accept it.

They will be adding 20 aircraft to their fleet this year

Dream on.

They're only guaranteed to get a handful of A320s and ATRs this year.

In the unlikely event the tender requirements are met, they MAY induct 3 leased widebodies and 4 narrow bodies.

The 5 777s they ordered in Feb 2012 are said to have been delayed with the delivery slots given to a different airline because PIA missed pre-delivery payments to Boeing.
