Yeh you are right. why it was compulsory to change the current livery. Our economic conditions are already bad. Furthermore PIA is also not doing any profitable business and instead of improving service for passengers they are worrying about changing the livery every other year.
Thats what happens when we every diplomatic government appoint their own chairperson for big corporations.

nah man PIA actually made alot of profits last year and thats y they wanna buy new planes . hope PIA does better than other airlines

I agree that the rowdy Pakistani passengers are responsible for their behavior. PIA comes every few years with begging bowl in its hand asking for subsidies. Pakistan should spend money on building schools rather than subsidising PIA to buy planes. PIA should be run as a commercial enterprise and they should finance their new planes from their own profits.

PIA is ranked among the worst airlines in the world.
In a recent survey conducted by Flight Stats and released by Aaron Smith on CNNMoney.com, PIA is amongst the worst five airlines in terms of regularity. Japan Airlines was the No. 1 carrier in the world for on-time departures, while Southwest and Hawaiian airlines lead in North America. PIA losses and liabilities are already in the range of Rs165 billion. The airline management blames the rise in fuel prices and rupee devaluation for its losses, although almost 67 per cent of its revenues are earned overseas in hard foreign exchange, courtesy the expatriate Pakistani clients. As if this was not enough, now PIA is being ranked amongst the worst performers for its poor regularity and delays. I am sure this deterioration in regularity cannot be pinned on any factor other than mismanagement, poor coordination and lack of professional competence.
