Personal Attacks

Well this is not intentionally a controversial thread and I would like to read a reply from management before our neighbours so please wait and let the management clarify rules before bashing an individual.

Well I have witnessed increasing number of personal attacks on our member "AJTR" since past couple of weeks. I have read numerous posts where she was called "Fakester, Arundhati Junior Trainee Roy, B I T C H, Traitor, Traitor like Sania Mirza etc and hardly any action is being taken against the offender. I was wondering why we have sudden change of policy in this forum? maximum i notice is that the posts are often get deleted with members given no warning or penalty. I think 90% of the members that interact with her are usually doing personal attacks only.

I feel a very dire need of having a very strict policy for offenders doing personal attacks and if ever such incidents are taken place, penalty must be issued with no lenience

If a person is saying she is a Pakistani or an Indian, one must believe and move on. Who gives them right to keep suspecting her identity and rather than targeting her statements they are continually targeting herself?

I hope my question is clear enough!

the problem is when people change flags and pretend to be someone they are not. applies to both Indian and Pakistanis.

but question remains: What if a person is truly from the same nation he is showing his flag for?

If I doubt you are not an American-India... but Israeli

what can you do to prove your identity

These questions must be left behind I think. We come here to talk, to discuss several topics related to Pakistan and the elements that can have impact on Pakistan indirectly. We do not come here to spy each other's identity and declare them Non-Patriotic or non-religious etc. If you cannot bear the rage of criticism, ignore the person. You don't have to raise your fingers on that individual's identity just because you can't agree with her ideology.

PS: Let management clarify the policy before I (hopefully) reply again

and whatever the reason could be, personal attacks should never be allowed and rather than deleting posts...Ban members... if this policy is repeated once again - I am sure she would have a sigh of relief too

Why do Pakistanis care so much for ajtr that you want to start a thread in support of her?
I don't think any Indian in the right mind would tolerate some one supporting Mumbai attack or Varanasi blast especially if that person sports an Indian flag.

Its not about identity,I though that person was just an over critical Indian and even defended his/her identity once.

But people glorifying Mumbai attacks indirectly have no nationality.

wel...genetically, it's possible. human DNA is pretty much similar to any other human DNA!!!

While I do not support personal attacks, I am not sure why Zaki got concerned only for AJTR? This is being going on here for long. I know a think tank who gave gali to someone on thread and nothing happened. Its long time ago.

There is no room for personal attacks, even if hitler comes on the forum, you don't make personal comments at all you talk on the topic or nothing at all.

The moment you have to make a personal comment you've shown that you've lost the argument and are now just trying to derail the conversation. Zaki we've banned a heavy number of them - more so we've also confirm that the person saying where they are from is not lying about where they are from. Such things are ensured on a case to case basis. Of course technical details can be faked as well, but we're a discussion forum not an investigation agency and should remain within our roles.

Often times action are not taken because dont know. Not necessarily because we let things slip by. If something like this is going on, you personally message an admin and we will handle the users who violate the rules.
