Persian Gulf may soon be too hot for human life, climate simulation shows

In next 50 years, countries around the world will have to get ready for climate refuges especially from Gulf. Once I was in Abu Dhabi, it was so hot that I was thinking how people live here.

That's strange because the humidity in most of India is much greater than in UAE. Thus the "heat index" is greater in India. The temperatures during the warmest months are similar too. In fact they are often higher in many areas of India.

The warmest areas of the ME during the summer are found in Kuwait, Southern Iraq and Southwestern Iran. Cities such as Kuwait City, Basra and Ahwaz are recording the highest temperatures in the region. Not cities elsewhere in the ME.

India has lots and lots and lots of rain. India has one of the largest area covered under rain forest in the world. Almost 55% of India's land is fertile. India has Himalayan range, that has 20% of world's fresh water reserves. Africa is more hot than India, but Africa has lot of vegetation, so does India. Gulf has no such thing. It looks like alien land.

You were blabbering about heat. What has rain and water reserves to do with the topic discussed? Nothing.

I just told you that the humidity levels are much higher in most of India and that the temperatures are similar and often higher during the summer and throughout the year. Thus the HEAT INDEX is often bigger in India and one of the highest in the world actually.

Decertification is also a problem in India as well as it is in most of the world nowadays.

That is only due to the monsoon rains. Lastly there is no region called "Gulf" and even UAE has mountain ranges and numerous fertile areas. Let alone the Arabian Peninsula with has sizable tropical areas and half of it's territory is mountainous.

Also it's obvious that you have little knowledge about this topic. Why don't you take a look at my posts or links and learn something new? A mere few millennium ago (our planet is 4.5 billion years old) the Arabian Peninsula was a jungle and one of the most fertile areas of the world. Throughout most of the recorded history, in fact over 95% of the time, this has been the case.

It can become that in the future again, not that I would witness that let alone enjoy jungles or a tropical climate.

I am sure Gulf is much hotter than India. Once I was in Abu Dhabi and the heat so hot that I never experienced that hot before. I can feel it even now.

And why do you blamed me. The research was conducted by MIT, which is among the top research universities in the world. They must have had a cogent reason to imply that 'climate refuges' are a reality in next 50 years.
