Yes it is possible.
If an incoming member has no conflict with another muslim member..
For eg.. the Chinese should take an observer status.. but the Uighur issue might be bought up.

New Recruit
India is made up of a group of mini states - Kashmir, Khalistan , Northeast India etc etc LOL
You said "what's so special about Muslim states ???" and I said "what's so special about India ??? "
because we represent over 1 billion people within one democratic nation and are the 4th largest economy in the world, need any other reason ? I have plenty lol
What can a country with a large population offer the world that other countries cannot ?
Japan and Germany both have a larger economy than India.
Representation.
Good . we also support them ..its called G-4
The truth is that countries with a large population not only has nothing to offer but is a burden to the world because these countries often ask for more aid from the United Nations.
Islamic states consist of more than 1 billion people and yet no permanent U.N. seat for any Muslim state. So it
is about time to consider a permanent U.N. seat for Islamic states. If USA is willing to support India then Uncle SAM should also offer the same deal to Pakistan.
Recently USA has been acting very bias when dealing with India and Pakistan : USA has offered Nuke Deal and transferring high tech military technology to India but nothing to Pakistan even when pakistani soldiers are dying everyday helping USA to fight Al Qaeda.
But santro already there are conflicts in between the member nations. For example in the case of arab nations and west africa.. how are they dealing it?
During the Libyan-Chad conflict there were moves to suspend both nations memberships for the duration of the conflict..
however..the OIC was still nacent.
Egypt's action back in 79 to seek peace with Israel led to its expulsion..since most of the Muslim countries consider israel as a conflicting state with Muslim demands.
Iran-Iraq is an example..
Amongst the west african nations
Sieraa lone was involved in Civil war..
Uganda went to war with Tanzania(not a membership candidate)
However.. the rule applies to those wishing for membership..
and therefore.. at the time when all these countries gained membership into the OIC..they were not at war with each other..
right now..any nation that is at conflict with an islamic nation may not be a member of the OIC till that conflict is resolved.
(in other words.. OIC members may duke it out with each other ..but anybody else trying to come in better not have any beef with any member).
