LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has said that the people now want electricity instead of democracy and therefore he keeps the democratic system sans electricity on his toes.

He said that it was the people’s right to protest against the existing woeful situation, while he was standing beside the people.

Talking to media outside the camp office under the shadow of Minar-e-Pakistan here, Shahbaz Sharif said that the people say that they want electricity not democracy. He said that the rulers have plundered the nation for four years and to set things right in the country, the thieved have to be driven away. He said he cannot remain standing by the side of the thieves.

Punjab CM said that he would prefer to step down and stand by the side of the people on matters of public interests.

He said that he was resolving the water problem in Punjab.

Earlier, Punjab CM had presided over a meeting at the Minar-e-Pakistan camp office.

He is right, nobody gives a damn whether it is democracy or dictatorship or a donkey ruling them (as is the current case), until they keep on getting the basic needs of life, which is not happening right now.

BTW, this guy knows how to do some dramabazi, alot of shenanigans now-a-days, because the elections are near.

.
Would nt it be better for Punjab CM to push for constructing power plants instead of standing by the people and giving speaches against the central govt

Coz as far as i know , it is first the duty of state govt to Create the infrastructure within the state

If this really is the case, then Mr Sharif should pack up and leave.
Since he is a democratic burden that people just don't want any more.
