Yes. They have similar agreements ''Peninsula Shield'' Is the military wing of GCC and functions like NATO including Egypt and Jordan who are attached to them via several defense treaties.

They have second most fighter jets in the world only second to the US if they were a country. The most amount of tanks and AC's in the world. It is indeed formidable force combined.

Dont know why but the GCC+2 forces remind me of a rich kid with lots of shiney toys but lacking something to make really good use of those. To top it they are given watered down versions of weapons which has costs billions. They should be wielding more influence in this area, ask for the best items dont get it then dont buy. That would change the minds of the Europeans and Americans quickly.

But alas in geopolitics one is not buying the weapons, they are buying favours and protection.

They don't have knock versions besides they do produce their own stuff.. It is just that NATO is 3 times the size of this alliance hence they are not NATO rival nor competitors. NATO is at much higher scale in numbers 3 times bigger.

In the overall geopolitical line it is a NATO allied military alliance
