He is suggesting because he has been asked to, not because he thinks that what is being used is less effective. Not like the army came up with this on their own. In any case, no one has agreed to withdraw completely the use of shot guns, merely hold on while other alternatives are tried out. I'm very supportive if chilli grenades work, they work best in confined areas without unfavourable wind movement but hey, it's worth a try. I certainly support the trying of any alternatives & would be pleased if they work but to dismiss the use of shot guns is to be naive.

Pellet guns are not used anywhere else in India for crowd control even when the haryana riots took place . You can't have one policy for one state and another for another . If we believe Kashmir to be integral part of India we have to treat kashmiris as one as well . There is enough space in Indian government and judicial system for them to air their grievances which we can together solve it . Sure there will be and there are separatists and the best way to disfranchise them is to become one with kashmiri people not threat them as other .

Nothing to take a way from priests but Hindus are a majority in Kerela as well and I am very positive not all of the rapes are by christian priests . Try better while changing the goalpost next time .
