Peace talks: Nisar terms Firday's drone strike 'murder of peace'

ISLAMABAD: With the government’s planned peace delegation to initiate talks with the Taliban in jeopardy with a drone strike reportedly killing Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Hakimullah Mehsud, Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar said on Saturday that there was a murder of peace and that a peace delegation was due to depart on Saturday morning.

Nisar, in addition to chairing a meeting in Islamabad with Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, told the media that he had scheduled the press briefing on Friday to update progress made in the talks between a Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal led delegation and the Taliban, but due to changing situation after Friday’s strike.

Nisar described the strike as “murder of peace in this area.”

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz‚ PM’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatmi‚ Foreign and Interior Secretaries and officials of different security agencies are attending the meeting.

why say "murder of peace in this area" aren't they sitting in the federal government and aren't they the ones to decide which course should be adopted? Why not take a clear stance instead of moving to and fro repeatedly.
