PDM Jalsa News and Updates

@Jungibaaz @AgNoStiC MuSliM @waz @WAJsal @VCheng I see this as nothing more than the continuation of the same. Even if by some miracle they bring down the government and come into power, would things change? NO. Change cannot be driven from elements that are home to the conscious systematic exploitation. Can you drive change when you are part of that very wheel? You cannot. You can fight for better position in the system but can never change it. They cannot provide the relief the people of Pakistan deserve. Faces changing and fighting amongst themselves while the kingmakers laugh and remain certain of their power. No matter who rules, they always rule. If any one of them simply used the world LAND REFORMS or RELIGIOUS REFORMS and i will declare that they are sincere but they wont. They wont because the wheel of exploitation is built on such and nobody can dare to touch it. It seems we are fated to be crushed no matter who is in power or who fights. You know what is truly irking me right now is that those intellectuals who should be well aware of this system of exploitation, are looking the other way and rather than declare the true enemy are doing nothing of sort and are supporting them simply because they give hints on army role and ask for it to be removed. This is absolutely wrong and frankly foolish and shows that they are consumed by their own grudges. They claim to be well-wishers and desirous of change but are supporting elements that will not do any of such sort. They will cement this exploitation. When these intellectual fail to see the bigger picture, it highlights how bad the situation in the country is. The people of Pakistan deserve better than this and they deserve true change. You know Imran had that opportunity if he simply continued that path and not made the compromises he did for power. He could have driven proper change and could have done something amazing but could have, would have, should have hold no value anymore., Pakistan needs proper change and that can only come from internal change. The Prophets have shown that true change can only happen when society changes internally

What's another act in a circus when the ringmaster remains the same? We cheer and we boo the performers, but the acts are selected by a very different set of parameters. Periodic changes such as these do not make any significant changes to the underlying scheme.

The ringmaster was named and called out by a few of the circus animals, that is surely new and interesting?

There is even a Supreme Court verdict or two in this regard from a few years ago, but surely the lack of any meaningful changes in such illegal practices is nothing new nor interesting. The ringmaster assigns the acts of said animals and rakes in the attendance fees from the audience.

Correct me if i am wrong but didnt Fatima Jinnah, Zulfiqar bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif post 1999 call them out? and then there were judges as well who called them out

Of course they did. And of course the world knows it too. But we like to pretend there is no evidence to prove it, and hence we have no need to change anything at all. And if any more "not a proof" is needed, PMIK's recent interview with a media outlet says far more than the mere words used.

They all did at one time or another, but the 90s was still a very tightly managed system, the most we got out of Nawaz was ‘will not take dictation’, which compared to his latest rhetoric was very milquetoast. I also think it’s worth examining that the previous examples either involve outright dictatorship, or very heavy handed interference, whereas today we’re seeing this criticism of a more inconspicuous hybrid system.

There always have been some people to speak this way, but the real test is how long it’ll last before they buckle or adjust. Actually since the last dictatorship, the harshest anti-establishment comments came from Imran Khan, now look at him today. Similarly, I don’t fully trust NS, I consider myself more radical and idealistic when it comes to these issues, whereas these politicians care mostly about their own power, they’ll make deals and we’ll all be back to square one in no time.

I don’t fully share your pessimism, even though I recognise that it’s wise given historical precedence. But today’s media is at least partially free, in the past you’d be shut down immediately, social media is our saviour and will always provide a space where previously none existed. Even the ringmasters have to conduct their work from safe distance and with due care. In the past they’d present themselves in the field, medals on their chest, riding in convertibles. Today they’re inconspicuous, and they know (or at least I can hope that they are aware) that dictatorship and openly taking the field is no longer possible.

There is no pessimism or optimism in what I have observed above, mere statement and acceptance of fact. What was overt previously is now covert, as you have observed, but the basic extra-Constitutional setup remains the only power center, and only because there is no shortage of willing tools to act as the facade as needed. And if need be, overt control is no more than a gate jump away, as always.

Dont trust them at all. First of all they are all very self-interest driven and have shown it as such repeatedly in history. Look at bilawal. He already made statement to undo the damage caused by Gujranwala event by stating that he loves the army, doesnt want them mentioned, doesnt want to demoralize them and nobody, neither the ruling party nor opposition should use the name of the army. Their movement already fizzes out. Secondly if they truly want to hurt the military interest then there are many factors that even the military needs to come to power like the massive problem of land reforms and hoarding of lands. You have everybody in the land business from judges, to generals to mullahs to politicians. Infact it is now becoming an exclusive game here and and as days go by, it is becoming even more so. This was such a conscious fact that all the enterprises unitedly declared land reforms unislamic (Reforms passed by the caliphates from Rashidun to the Ottoman as Unislamic) but these proclaimed saviors ( Sitting in the government, GHQ, SC or in the opposition) are not attacking this problem, this major problem because their own self-interest are driven as well. This is a mere fight between two portions of a consciously built wheel that is crushing us. No matter who wins, there will be no benefit for the common man. How can men save this country when they are slaves to their own selfish desires.

As for Imran. Oh yes his speeches were scathing to say the least and he truly shined and when hope governments and messiahs fail, the disappointment is everlasting and consuming. Its makes the most positive of person a pessimistic. One of my friends, who writes articles for many news agency was telling how imran is insane and no sane person can support the military institution. I jokingly pointed out that what if a person supports them to gain power? A pragmatic and sane decision. Selfish yes but sane and that hurts worse than anything,
