PDM gormint's surrender to TTP in headlines!

An independent civilian paramilitary force is still out of the question, yes?

.
Find the TTP and destroy them, find their infrastructure and networks in Afghanistan, and destroy them.

And how do you propose we do that exactly?

1- We don't have money for jackshit at the moment. Military ops take a huge amount of expense.

2- You will go into Afghanistan and bomb the heck out of them, and they will just stay still and keep on taking the beating? Abhi 5000 TTP sambhalay nhn ja rahay, what happens when the whole of Afghanistan would want to kill you?

3- Killing a terrorist stronghold or group in your own country works, since you can occupy that place and bring in development schemes and such to deradicalize the population. What will you do in Afghanistan?

4- You think India will just sit tight and not take advantage of this? Well newsflash, it already has over the past year or so. That is why we were the first to rush in and work the Afghan Taliban, so that India does not cozy up to them. But we mucked it up, and guess what, India is becoming best pals with them. Moreover, India has the resources to actually bring in worthwhile progress for Afghanistan unlike us jin ko do waqt ki tori kay lalay paray huay hain.

5- Let's say that all those saying Afghan Taliban coming into power was a bad thing for us. What was the status quo before that? A Karzai or Ghani led govt hostile to us, which provides consulates to act as intelligence bases to RAW? Which one is better, and which one did we have a better chance of talking to? Take your pick.

Think rationally for once rather than being gung ho. Now that everyone knows we are a mess domestically, the government has no legitimacy with the people, and our economy is a mess, we will be negotiating from a position of weakness. Ab bas sab lollipop chooso aur political workers ko band karo, yehi kaam reh gaya hai apnay bas ka.

The reason the ops before succeeded at a massive scale was because of public support all over. Is there the same support now for the government or for the army? Just have a look at the Twitter threads, this forum, Facebook, anywhere you go.

1. Good point, but there's no other option since the war has been initiated by them and they only get stronger as time goes on.

2. The whole of Afghanistan already wants to kill you, I don't know why people keep bringing it up.

Not sure if this is a side effect of a dalkhor brain, but Afghanistan has been planning to kill you pretty much since your independence.

3. What happens in Afghanistan doesn't matter as long as no more terrorist infrastructure remains. Pressure needs to be applied on them that they will receive no aid, support or recognition as long as they continue in such activities.

After that securing the border and kicking out all of their sympathisers and refugees is the only solution, which is internal.

4. This has always been the case, nothing new.

5. I'm not against the Afghan Taliban being in power - it was the lesser evil. But we must take action against their anti-Pakistan actions and their support for terrorism in Pakistan.

6. Yes the public hates them I'm aware, they must stabilise the political situation which I've been saying for a while now, perhaps now is the best time since the terrorist threat is looming. Khan needs to support the military, ideally they should bring him back.
