The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned seven cricketers, including former skipper Inzamamul Haq from playing the domestic league, for taking part in the Indian Cricket League (ICL).:angry:

"Since the ICL is not recognised by the PCB and the Indian cricket board, the players who have joined the ICL despite warnings from their respective boards will not be allowed to play in the domestic circuit," PCB spokesman said.

Besides Inzamam, the other players banned by the PCB are Abdul Razzaq, Shabbir Ahmad, Azhar Mehmood, Taufiq Umar and Imran Farhat.:hitwall:

"The rebel players have tried to contact the PCB through their respective departments, but the board gave them a cold shoulder," the spokesman said.

He said despite showing good performance in the ICL, the players would not be considered even for the national camp.

"The board is following 'zero tolerance policy' towards such players," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.

I think that these players should not be allowed to represent Pakistan on an International level, but I do think that these players should be allowed to play domestic cricket, because maybe by them playing side by side with the younger generation, may be the younger generation can pick up a few tips from them.

I dont know about you guys, but i thought ICL was/is a failure.

Isnt this a repeat of the Packer league. Idont know why the board has to get so serious about such things. All the above players with the exception of Imran Farhat are unlikely to ever play for Pakistan again. Let them earn money by playing elsewhere.

ICL was quite a success infact....the TV ratings were quite good according to The Tribune.

I must say it was really funny to watch Inzamam playing for Hyderabad Heroes!!
