Parvez Elahi to become CM Punjab - PTI

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has announced PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as its candidate for Punjab chief minister, the party formally announced.

In a message on Twitter, the prime minister's aide on political communication, Shahbaz Gill, made the announcement.

Constitution and law does not differentiate.

If an independent candidate joins a political party within 3 days after election, he accepts rules and principles of that party and becomes a part of it.

So same rules apply.

If he however chose to remain independent, then it is a different matter.

Still he should first resign from the party else he can be subjected for disqualification later on. Doesn't matter he won as independent candidate or not. Anyways that account indeed looks fake.
