@PakSword aap ko kia lag raha hai? Do u also think tht JIT is compromised? Ya koi NRO honay jaa raha hai? Some ppl were rasing objections tht ..in summon to PM..JIT has written..you are "requested" to appear ....
Lekin pata nahi kiun..abhi tak mujhe JIT se NRO wali feeling nahi aarahi... But logon ki yahan par baatein sun kar dar lagnay laga hai...... your thoughts?
I don't think JIT has been compromised.
Till now, JIT members have done whatever they could to proceed with utmost integrity. They pushed back again and again against the whole government machinery, sold media channels and anchors and nations expectations. They have also been bashed by people like us, who always try to find small gaps.
The report today is a testimony of JIT members' steadfastness against all odds. They have charged government and different institutions with serious allegations of non cooperation and forgery. These allegations are so serious that if they are not able to prove them, their careers will be finished.
In the report, they have told the SC bench, that Hussain has not cooperated till now, institutions have not cooperated, forged documents have been submitted, campaign has started against them and different pressure tactics have been applied. But despite all of this, they are ready to take this investigation to its logical end. The only thing they want from SC and nation is time, which unfortunately, we are not ready to give them.
Lets discuss what's JIT's primary responsibility. JIT has been assigned the task to investigate 13 questions. It has been required to answer these questions with facts gathered through collection of statements and documents, validation of statements through cross questioning and verification of documents by using its powers from different national and international institutions, refer the validated evidences in its responses when they present its report, and go home. It is the SC bench that will take the job forward from there.
If there is no cooperation from the accused, and no cooperation from institutions (to the point that institutions start forging documents), what JIT could do is to go back to SC judges and inform them. And that's exactly what they have done.
It was very easy for them to accept whatever forged docs were being collected from institutions , and to link them to the statements of accused, and present a clean report to the SC bench. It would have been very easy for Advocate and Pakora to rely on JIT's assurance about collected evidences and give clean chit to Shareefs. This is exactly what judges did in rigging investigation. They accepted the responses from NADRA and ECP without even thinking that our institutions have become so corrupt that the officers are ready to sell their souls for small worldly gains. So when NADRA told them that 60,000 votes couldn't be verified, SC didn't get forensic experts' help to verify the statement of NADRA. When ECP provided them with non-reconciled forms from RO and Polling Officers, they accepted ECPs stance that the scale of rigging is not that high to call the elections rigged.
JIT members have refused to take everything coming from institutions. They are comparing the current provided record with whatever they already have, and instead of blindly terming the current record as valid, informing SC that the current record is being forged.
What else do we want from this JIT? I tell you, Qatari hasn't arrived, because some banks and institutions, which forged the documents in favor of Qatari's statement, have been caught red-handed, and he knows that he will not be able to answer questions of JIT.
Our country is being ruled by thieves for the past 50 years or so, and we are only concerned about completing the investigation of last 30 years of some of the most sophisticated crooks (who are being helped by almost all the institutions) in 60 days..
If I were in this JIT, I would have already resigned. I am in internal audit, and have done some forensic investigations in my career. The smallest investigation that I was involved in, took around 1 months to finalize the report and identify the culprits. That was one business process, and 2 culprits and the amount being investigated was in 10s of thousands of Dirhams. We were a team of 3 and we had all the help available, from IT systems to the heads of all the departments, including the company's CEO.
Either SC should tell them, whoever is not cooperating, not not call him again and SC would decide based on lack of evidence, or remove the hurdles (the biggest is removal of PMLN government), or give them time. Unfortunately, SC and nation is not ready to give these six members any of these. Extent of probe is 30 years, amount is in billions of rupees, multiple countries involved, 3 government tenures, institutions forging documents, PM and his children not cooperating,30 days out of 60 are Ramadan and Eid holidays, but since we consider JIT members as super humans, they should complete investigation in 60 days..
I say they should either resign, or take bribe to make their future secure. Again saying, I would have resigned by now..
