This is contradictory. Are saying the Ummah is for the people of Pakistan or all muslims around the world? If it is the latter than should we keep on supporting them even if they spit at us? And if that's the case; shouldn't the Ummah concept work both ways?
It is only contradictory if you don't understand the deen. You and I are as much a part of the Ummah as any other muslim. If you and I were the only Muslims to hold the concept of Ummah dear then we should, regardless of what the rest do. Nationalism rewarded the Muslims of Iraq, Syria, Libya, Iran, Pakistan was rewarded in 1971 and if we continue to value one set of people amongst us more than others it will benefit us again.
Again, what? Why the hell do we support the Palestinians then?
Because they are Muslim not because they are Palestinian. Thier value is only in being Muslim. Of course before all that we should support any oppressed because they are human. RasoolAllah (saws) made it clear that humanity is the foundation of Muslim values.
'You people'? The irony here is strong. The Ummah lovers are more than willing to be powerless, be humiliated and massacred for a people that don't give a crap about Pakistanis (fellow muslims). This is what will lead all of us to lose our dignity, our religious identity and lose the only power we had left.
You people refers to those who reject the notion of the ummah. Allah gave it to us in the Quran. There is no single pre requisite that everyone has to follow it for you to follow. Did the Sahaba wait for everyone else to adopt Islam or did they do it regardless of popular opinion?
Anyone who believes in the concept of Ummah is weak or humiliated. Only those who have abandoned it are. The Kafir draw thier strength from the model Allah ordained for us. Meanwhile our people wish to cower in corners like beaten women.
Allah also tells you to not follow people blindly and idolise people. Seems the Ummah Chummah people love to idolise the Arab states so much so that they have no sympathy for their own land and people (fellow muslims).
I have never advocated anything of the kind. I've only ever advocated anything that will gain you and me the pleasure of Allah. No alliance of men can overcome that strength. I don't ask us to follow, I demand we lead.
This is our pathetic government response...
Press Release
(2017-12-31) In response to media queries regarding the participation of the Palestinian Ambassador in a public meeting held in support of Palestinians, the spokesperson said that Pakistan's unambiguous and steadfast support to the Palestinian cause was well known. Pakistan has always supported the two state solution, with East Jerusalem, the capital of the Palestinian State. Pakistan's unequivocal position was demonstrated in the rejection of the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
Since then a number of public rallies and meetings have been held in Pakistan. The Ambassador of Palestine has participated in many of these meetings. The public meeting held yesterday was yet another demonstration of the Pakistani strong sentiments in support of the Palestinian cause. This public rally was attended by thousands of people from all walks of life. More than 50 speakers addressed the rally, including Hafiz Saeed. Contrary to the impression being created, UN proscription does not place any restrictions on the freedom of expression.
The people and Government of Pakistan respect the Palestinian Ambassador's active participation in events organized to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
