@Mangus Ortus Novem good thread bro, however, I dont think theres much
positivism when you toss both nationalities together. Its nearly impossible to keep conversation/argument civil, because after few post(s), things heat up in no time and in the end few posters are dished out
temporary ban with many posts got deleted. Poor Mod's have to do the clean up - story of online forums.
Different perspective's
There are different perspective of both the parties naturally.
The root of Pakistan's conflict with India started from the British Empire. When Britain left India in 1947,
partition ended up being a bloody process - meaning people were forced to leave their homes if they fell on the wrong side of the newly formed border. Riots and skirmishes resulted from the complex process, as British authorities deserted the area and left chaos behind. We get to hear so many horrid stories from our elders how their forefathers immigrated to Pakistan - simply put, it was blood bath all over.
Then we have issue of IoK, which is the main reason of conflict to this date in between two countries. We simply cant ditch our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and look in the other direction. There is a recent spike and profound reaction of many Pakistani's is because of what Indian leadership did on August 2019. Similarly, we support and raise voice for our India Muslims brothers and injustice they have to face in Indian.
I was myself shocked (along with the entire Congress leadership) when Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Bipin Rawat, and Ajit Doval pulled together the August 2019 coup on Jammu & Kashmir's basic identity. As someone with insignificant Kashmir ancestry (only 1/4), it hurt me personally although I may have interacted ZERO with any real Kashmiris except my Nani. It was a stab in the back.
Furthermore, Pakistani's strongly dislike India characters like Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Bipin Rawat, Ajit Doval, that clown Guurav and RAW due to their consistent efforts to spread unrest in Pakistan, their
statement level terrorism through
kulbhushan yadav, their
open support to anti-Pakistan terrorist groups like BLA and their
open support in killing of innocent civilian's including - who can forget APS.
Now coming on the Indian prospective. Many of our
parosi/padosi see Pakistani establishment as the root cause of all the issues in between both countries. It gives them grief when they see a young daughter crying for her father who took his last breaths at the border fighting for his country. An old mother with a blurred vision and the faintest idea of the diplomatic relations crying her heart out because she won’t be able to see her son anymore.
The thing is they are utter blindfolded by their media, by their political leadership and by their Army, who paint Pakistan as a boogeyman. Why Indian's dont ask tough questions from Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Bipin Rawat, Ajit Doval, that clown Guurav?
Why dont they ask why its always Pakistan who launches the offense first?
Why cant we talk to Pakistan?
What is going on IoK? Why Kashmir's special status was revoked?
Why Muslims in Indian are targeted by RSS Mob?
How Pakistan is able to capture Kulbhushan and what was he doing there in the first place?
Why India supports banned organization like BLA?
The list goes on and on but its baffles me that our
parosi/padosi are not interested is any of this and act as cult follower.
Hindutva ideology
Many Indian Hindus consider Pakistan's and Islam as their nemesis. You say one word in favor of Kashmiri's (who has been oppressed, abused, raped, tortured and killed day in day out) or Indian Muslims (who has been targeted due to their religion believes, because what they have in their dinner platter) and you will be treated in the same manner. What is the reason for all this? Why India and Indian's have changed since past few years? I believe the reason is
Hindutva ideology, which RSS-inspired BJP government has been pushing forward since past years. Religious intolerance is spreading in the country and there will be time, anyone who dares to disagree with this fascist ideology will be the target of violence.
I wouldnt be wrong if I say Imran Khan is on the 2nd at the
hate-index of Indian's - Pakistan Army is on top of the list. Many hate to see strong Pakistan Army because they want to see a toothless Pakistan, which is nothing but wishful thinking.
That said, can one show any
positivism towards such hostility? Dont think anybody who feels pain for our Kashmiri's and Muslim brothers of India will tolerate any BS. That notion of "
If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also" is no longer valid in this cruel world we live in.
In a nutshell, there are many Indian's & Hindu's who are extremely nice and friendly, however, on contrary, there are millions who possess endless venom for Pakistan and Pakistani's, which they spout not only here on PDF, but on many other online forums. This has been going on for decades and will continue God knows for how long.
My 2 cents.
