You cannot leave one side build a narrative against you. For example, i came to know about some people who were told by Indians that Pakistanis are into FGM. Now this was mostly because they never interacted with Pakistanis and someone fed them wrong information. Only after we approached these Western people, they realized there was no truth about it. So it's not a waste of time if you are working on positive things.

Social sites are being heavily used for 5th gen warfare.

@waz brother, I'm glad to see finally we are realizing the need of making a known presence on social sites. We also need to focus on education and getting into top spots in foreign countries, include our selves in politics of those countries where we live so that we can influence the soft image of Pakistan and counter our opponents. This is what Indians are doing...education, business and politics.

What people don’t understand: in the 20th Century they Soviet Union and its vassals were the main enemy of the West. All the narratives (true and false, mostly true...) were created to contain communism.

After the Soviets went down they needed a new narrative. Let’s be honest it’s nearly impossible to subdue the Muslim spirit so all the propaganda is now made against Muslims and mainly Pakistan because it’s the only noteworthy Muslim power out there (sorry Turks and Egyptians!).

In earlier times propaganda warfare was done by the means of communication of that time (TV, Newspaper, Radio..), but the internet is next level propaganda. School kids with their mobile phones see Anti Islam and Pakistan propaganda before they go to bed. And we can’t stay put in this case. 10 Billion Indians with their cheap virus infested smartphones they got from the special sites they visit every day are all day long busy spreading propaganda. This must be handled because it’s part of their propaganda warfare. I am not happy about this development, but man, sometimes it feels so good to read „Send Bob“ as answer for Indian spamming a newspage.

We need to spread our message. Here in Germany rightwing nutjobs have own Facebook groups in that they coordinate spam attacks on newspapers if they are slightly positive regarding Muslims. The article is about doner kebab but these lowlives make it about Islam and Immigration. We need to tackle this!

Its very important to counter the constant stream of Indian propaganda. They've shot themselves in the foot by letting the right wing sanghi's loose - a carefully cultivated image is being torn apart one bobs vegene request and and rape threat at a time.


Pakistani's must now be on the front foot; but how?

1. No offensive language, don't be seen to be "just as bad"
2. If you want to troll do it with humour and memes - the Pakistani way.
3. Always spend time stating the Pakistani version of facts, includes URL's from well known sources to back up your position.
4. 1 well written counter tweet or post is a lot more useful than 10 mocking ones.

Do what our media is failing to do.

Why don't you all social media genius users develop your own Pakistani social media site like Chinese and make other Pakistani also to use to indigenous Pakistani social media site for their social interactions rather than using uncle SAM's sponsored social media sites like twitter and facebook.

A Pakistani startup is/was working on one a while back. Dunno what happened to that project but some folks are definitely working on it.

If that Startup is working on it then it is indeed a good development, maybe Pakistan can take help of Chinese experts on developing indigenous online social media platforms made exclusively for Pakistani users. I have noticed that 95% of Pakistani social media users from within Pakistan almost only interact with other Pakistani friends and colleagues on uncle Sam's social media platforms such as Facebook or whats app, I mean they are certainly NOT interacting much with international audience through uncle Sam's social media platforms apart from 5% outliers, also 95% Pakistani users on these platforms use Urdu or other local languages to interact with each other using the available Roman or Latin script.

can we trust pakistanis with our data? here our telephone number, addresses and nic all available. Everyday messages from different ads I don't know how they get our mobile numbers.
