Unfortunate... but Imran Khan proved that our guy was phoodu, who went out risking his life for donkey kingdom.
We must understand engineering behind release of Indian terorrist, which is to sink moral of Pak armed fores and strip them off their vigor and venom.

It appears from the posts that there are a couple of things that my compatriots are looking at with emotions only and without rational thinking. There is no room for emotions in war; all actions should be taken after careful deliberations of the pros & cons.

Firstly, the pilots on both sides are volunteer soldiers. People who join the military service (not drafted) do it because they are ready to lay down their lives for the defense of the motherland. Hence both the pilots; Wing Cmdr. Abhinandan and Sq. Ldr Hassan Siddiqui; are real-life heroes of their respective nation.

Secondly, a dog fight is similar to the old style ‘One to one’ duel and the victory depends upon a combination of man & machine. The fact that PAF fighter came out on top only proves that the dedication & skill of PAF pilots is superior, this does not mean that Wing Cdr Abinandan is a 'cowered'.

Many readers have criticized the release of the IAF pilot by Imran Khan. Like any professional soldier, he was asked to intercept incoming PAF fighters; he did his duty and was shot down.

People may know from my posts that I am no fan of the Kaptaan, but I honestly cannot see what advantage Pakistan would have gained by keeping him? IMHO this was a magnanimous gesture by Pakistan and an indication to the world that Pakistan does not want to prolong the war. Thus it should be applauded, not criticized. Additionally, enemy soldiers/pilots should be treated with dignity & respect.

Apart from my intrinsic enmity towards this pilot, right from his arrest to release, I find this guy to be a gentleman.

He was free as long he was in so called Pak custody... he's now some where in dark dungeons of Indian military, where no civilian can reach him.

I am sure he might be facing torture to say something against Pakistan. After that many days of torture, even if he said something against Pakistan, then I can understand his situation.
I don't know what will happen with this guy.
