What's new

Pakistan's GIDS offers various weapon systems for export at World Defence Forum in Riyadh.

Sorry, this is not defence industry. You need universities to collaboration with companies, you need technicians, industry to make parts, material technology to forge super strenght light weight materials. This dead born child, investing billions with low tech outcome. They don't invest in humam resources. South Africans working and put some Arabs for management is what they do. Pakistan is much further in long term. They will put weapons together and then a country says we don't sell it anymore because this is against our interest :p: .
I found a couple of Pak engineers on linkedin who worked on their UAV projects.

That's actually our national tragedy. It's the same in the commercial sector including the so-called 2bn Usd IT sector. We are selling bottom-end services and with a very small minority actually doing quality work.

The best example in defense would be JF-17 thunder, our pride! Starting from the Red/Green show stopper livery to the dull camo, outdated websites, low-end marketing collateral, and the video. Where you look at, there are signs of a half-hearted effort,
Dudes could easily have taken clips from PHJ movie.
They shot really cool scenes using C130 with a movie cam on its bay... alas...

The visit of the representative of the Pakistani Army Commander and the Saudi attaché in the State of Pakistan in our pavilion participating in the #International_Defense_Expo_2022 to learn about our technical solutions for the military sectors..

FATAH MLRS has a CEP of 50 meters? Thats disappointing.
Likewise Al-Battar Guided bomb has a range of just 8 miles?
Pakistan state-owned defence group GIDS offers Fatah-1 Guided Multi Launch Rocket System (range of 140km), and Harbah long range fire and forget anti-ship cruise missile (range capped at 290km for export restrictions), at the World Defence Show #WDS2022.

Discussed before... Fatah is a guided MLRS but seems they are offering the unguided variant. Even its launchers photo has been edited.
Battars range is much more even REK has like a 100km and thats a guidance kit.
