They are diversifying, but Pakistan is in a different boat. We are just starting to exploit our massive reserves.

There will always be the naysayers and those who support coal power project.

I think Pakistan cannot ignore the massive blessing. We should focus on clean power generation. If it takes time so be it, but the extraction and electricity generation process should be as clean as possible.

Our installed capacity is already at 32-35MW and growing rapidly but peak demand is between 25-28MW. The issue is that often times the plants are not working at full capacity and there are massive amounts of line losses due to inefficient transmission network.

Industries, particular exports ones need to be the priority for cheap power. Retail customers are already use to outages and high bills. For the national benefit they may have to continue to sacrifice so that our industry can prosper.
