Pakistan’s First Animated Film 3 Bahadur to Be Released in May Next Year

Karachi – Pakistan’s first-ever HD Urdu-language animated featured film – 3 Bahadur – will hit the theaters in May next year.

Waadi Animations, a joint venture of a local production house SOC Films and ARY Films, on Tuesday premiered the first look of child adventure movie at an event held at a local cinema.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Waadi Animations Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, ARY Digital Network President and Waddi Animations Director Slaman Iqbal , ARY Digital Network CEO Jerjess Seja, English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd Marketing Head Zulfiqar Ali Ansari, McDonald’s Pakistan Marketing & Development Director Jamil Ahmed Mughal and Procter & Gamble Pakistan Commercial Operations Leader Aziz Jindani were notable figures in the event, which was hosted by noted television actor Fahad Mustafa.

3 Bahadur is a story of three friends – Amna, Sadi and Kamil, who start an inspirational journey to protect their once-prosperous town from several evils. All friends possess special powers, while Amna is incredibly quick, Sadi is extraordinarily intelligent and Kamil has extra sense of hearing.

Thanks to supreme courage, joint effort and special powers, they successfully restore peace, harmony in their town.

Speaking at the premier, Oscar winning short films producer Ms. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy said thye movie will be an inspiration for the Pakistani children that they have power to change the future of country.

“The film is a result of several years’ worth of hard work and collaboration with illustrators, writers, animators and visual effects artists. We have also been very lucky to have the support of our sponsors who want to see quality content for children being produced and distributed in Pakistan”,.

Mr. Salman Iqbal, on the occasion, said:

“We are proud to be bringing the first animated feature film ‘3 Bahadur’ under the banner of Waadi Animations, aimed at bringing quality entertainment to our little cinema fans. ‘3 Bahadur’ will definitely set a culture of making inspirational movies for children in Pakistan,” said he.

The main sponsor of the movie is Peek Freans Gluco by English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd while McDonald’s Pakistan and Safeguard by P&G are its co- sponsors.

Waadi Animations will soon launch a website for 3 Bahadur which will contain everything about the film.
