A controversial discussion in Appas ki baat. A few new things to add to one's knowledge and a few debatable ones. A comparative analysis of what India was doing on the other hand while we were making these blunders. Sethi also states at no. 7 or 8 that ISI asked Mullah Omer not to hand over Osama Bin Laden to USA so that the ruling elite could benefit from the war in shape of money and weapons.

Najam Sethi is a tool, he makes outlandish claims, unsupported analysis, he appears as a voice of 'reason' with reason being Pakistan become a more passive, obedient, nation. IMO he has a defeatist mind set and is a very pessimistic man.

As for one of the 10 biggest blunders in Pakistan's history (in no particular order).

A. I can list a few, In 1947 Pakistan Army should have been deployed in Kashmir quickly instead of the initial deployment of armed tribal militants backed by some Pakistani Army regulars; Pakistani Army should have immediately sent maximum force into Kashmir to secure it.

B. In 1962 Sino-Indian War, Pakistan should have immediately attacked an ill-equipped, ill-prepared, feeble, and bloody Hindustan.

C. Not securing the Western border, allowing illegal immigrants and militants to cross the border. In 1980's-'90's...

D. East Pakistan fiasco...

E. Not going nuclear before Hindustan by years...

F. Failure for a stable Government

leave it yaar. In Pakistan, most of them grown up reading this only in their national curriculum. This speaks Volumes the kind of upbringing few "SENIOR MEMBERS" have on PDF. But he is still better then JANA.

on Topic. NAJAM SETHI is widely trashed on PDF, can't say the same for Pakistan. Why not "SENIORS" ban him also. Save lot of time to you guys.
