Using your education background and experience HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE TO PAKISTAN?

So after a series of surveys...I would like to hear from Pakistanis how they can contribute to Pakistan?!

There was a saying by Noor Jahan....

Something along the lines:
"Not what Pakistan can do for me but what I can do for Pakistan?!"

So we all know Pakistan isnt doing well...So, I want to hear your ideas ....

If you were given a free hand, What can you do for Pakistan AND DESCRIBE HOW?!

Make sure it coincides with your profession / experience!

Although it is hypothetical...But I guess I am just interested in knowing how our Pakistanis here can help?!

NEW IDEAS! Not same discussed ideas!

She was singing live in 1965. One of our many secret weapons... Our Surprise Days are many!

Brothers, we are again at war... as you already know... today agian we were attacked outside Quetta. Please, don't forget to pray for the fallen and injured.

Time to kill the snakes within our borders and their master outside.

O kmon people contribute...Scratch that rusty brain :D

Ideas make them neurons connect more destinations!

How many willing to contribute their time and sincerity? Or the skills?

Hence why I am mining for ideas :)

@war&peace @Khafee @Retired Troll (dont troll here) @HRK
look anything on individual level could be a good initiative but the impact would remain very limited be it health, education, business or social sector, all the issue which we are facing at National level are grand and require grand but organised efforts.

Therefore the query which you have raised though appears natural and have appeal in it but its not practical, IF I am getting the main theme of your thread right it is more inline towards the potential individual(s) and then asking solutions without identifying the problems, so in this case neither we would agreed problems nor would have agreed solutions but have a debate about viscous cycle

More appropriate approach would be identifying problems in different sectors then identifying the possible solutions and potential Factors, Individual(s) to have a meaningful discussion

We have too many problems thread....

I am only interested in mining people's brain for ideas...Brainstorming session....for few reasons:

1) brainstorming is good activity for the brain
2) Who knows someone who reads these ideas can act on them
3) As long as they are to help Pakistan grow (and our brain in the process) it is all good!

More appropriate approach would be identifying problems in different sectors then identifying the possible solutions and potential Factors, Individual(s) to have a meaningful discussion
We have done that soo many times and it has only resulted in endless debates which lead no where!

As an indian, let me give you some advise :
1) Set up a fiscal institute similar to C.B.O in USA. Every bill js validated by fiscal institute and white paper is publicly released.
2) Divide expenditure into devlopment and operational. Hard caps on operational which the government cannot exceed.

It has to be something with education I suppose, perhaps at the junior college level, to help kids choose a career and to get started on it, along the lines of a counseling office.
Is this your idea/ how you would contribute? :D

interest-free society in a closed environment to grasp what benefits can be derived from not having a system based on deceit.
take a village or 2?? move on to towns?

5 - Pakistani public university qualified medical doctors will not be allowed to get a passport without reimbursing the subsidy given to them for their medical education or completion of the mandatory 5 year service in rural areas.. Husbands of the lady doctors (who got subsidized medical education but later decided to sit at home) will be taxed 10% more than the usual tax in their income brackets..
Sounds reasonable - Sorry I am reading these slowly as I am also getting other notifications :D

because non were conducted in structured manner all I am saying is to give it some structure with result oriented approach for this chose a sector estimate potential of the sector then identify the problem(s) then approach the individuals for the ideas to resolve the identified problem(s)

as you have given example from agriculture, tourism and education

what are the few common problems of all of these sectors
- unorganised
- not integrated with Internal and International markets
- lack of modern business and marketing techniques
- and many more

.
Call me a day dreamer but you will remember my name in 10-20 years time and say "Hey I know this kid" 8-)
That's the spirit!

Dreaming is not harmful...IF you make it goals...IT is harmful when the ONLY thing you do is dream and not work towards it!

Would need individual threads for different sectors...Can the TT manage 1 sector each or something?

as you have given example from agriculture, tourism and education

- lack of modern business and marketing techniques

We arent looking at the problems....We are just brainstorming as to what people like, what ideas they have, what they would like to do or want to...

NEXT stage would be brainstorming as to WHAT IS STOPPING THEM (Problems)....I dont know I have a different way of working things :ashamed:

8 - expanding the current canal system, specially to provide enough space during floods.. plantation of certain fruit trees that are beneficial for our economy, such as olive palm in the relevant environment..
THIS I dont know why no one does this?! There is no flood management brainy in the country!

adopt a school is better than adopt a village
it is more specific. there is less chance of picking a fight with anyone
Yes we have a few of those run by overseas Pakistanis....

.
9 - Ending Quota System...

10 - Land Reforms..
Never ending discussions and still no results :(

Absolutely, we need dreams and visions and the determination to make them true.
I was 11 when I first heard the term "butterfly effect". Eversince I have been thinking of ways to put the concept in a mechanised formula and finally came up with a concept and discussed it with my professor. He is very interested and in a few years time I hope to make enough progress to use it for my thesis and build it. Can't go into details yet but if it works out we will have a pioneering breakthrough in the field of wind energy. May Allah guide me through this Amen.
Ameen!

Adopt a village would be a situation where a bunch of people with some money and education work with villagers to improve their lives

the idea is to train the villagers to manage their own lives better

some areas where villagers could be helped
technical help for farming
micro-credit
housing
water supply/sewage

survivolist colonies?
