There will be 6 of these helicopters acquired. These can be used against ships and anti-submarine role. They will be used on our F-22P Zulfiqar class destroyers.

Notice the nose of our helicopter versus theirs. There is something like AEWs incorporated which will give better situational awareness to the ships.

Webmaster what about the engine? SInce we always get struck in the engine issue, so i'm asking is it from the chinese origin, or any other country?

Will this brid come along with the F-22p or is it expected to arrive earlier and are they coming with TOT like the F-22p which will be built in pakistan or they all be made in china?

on the engine issue, I had made a post in the Naval Forces thread that apparantly canadian P&W engines have found their way into the naval version of the helicopter. the chinese are having problems with the WS-11 engine, so apparantly the P&W engine has been reversed engineered successfully.

Qadri - this is a naval ASW helicopter. u may be referring to the Z-10 chinese armed attack helicopter which is under testing (main issue? u guessed it - engine)

For the chinese to built it---very very difficult. If it was so easy to built engines from looking at another engine sitting on the bench, russia would have built a more reliable engine a long time ago.

Engine is like the heart pump of any machinery, it is like the soul---once you have attained the ability to manufacture a quality engine, you can rest assured that your nation has reached that higher pleteau from where there is no turning back.
