That comes from the religion itself. If you start with the premise "that there is no god but...", not much can or needs to come after that. All downhill from there on.

I was just pointing out that religions are inherently disrespectful of each others & therefore should not necessarily by covered under "we must respect all religions" cloak. My use of "there is no god but.." while also being true of Islam does not just stop there & is equally true of other monotheistic religions which is why i left the last part deliberately blank, i.e. fits many. Each of these religions is inherently disrespectful of each other & of course of the polytheistic & atheistic faiths or indeed complete non-believers..

As far as it being a superior theology or otherwise, I have no comments to offer on that score. You are welcome to your opinion as others are to theirs.

Islam is a great religion. YES it is. Superior? No it isn't. All religions are equal, all of them teach pretty much similar moral codes and ethics. Yeah there are differences no doubt. Doesn't make one better than the other.

Many absurd laws have been supported by the majority because of being stuck through cultural ties to those laws. Slavery and racial laws existed by the support of the majority. You have to power through the collective intellectual gap of the many at times and keep pushing the right thing over the wrong till the majority comes to agree with it.

Question is whose Islam? What I learned was people throwing garbage at the Prophet and him forgiving them or the Quran which says "Lakum deenakum waliyadeen" (To you, your religion and to me mine). By definition all other religions are a blasphemy to yours, so if we kill for Blasphemy we will kill all and we will end up breaking the statement of the Quran in the process.

Blasphemy is nothing, its just words. Words have no value till they are believed. To get angry at the words is to gain some belief in those words. Words don't hurt. Yes if someone enforces you to go against your religion, fight back then. Don't go nuts on mere words.

Are you kidding me? The Prophet broke the idols and smashed them to prove a point that they can't even defend themselves let alone defend Makkah. The other's religion is meaningless, in order to prove that my religion is the true religion, I have to call the other's religion a false religion - call their Gods false, say that they are wrong, point out the absurdities of their belief.

These are all blasphemies from their point of view, but to promote my religion I have to do this.

I can disagree with anyone I want to. Ummat's performance, morality isn't anything to be proud of. For one thing Ummat needs to be educated and learn new ideas within the contexts and boundaries laid out in the Quran of course.

See my post #27. Also it doesn't help attacking other religions without honest good intention, only to feed your ego. Even when you give dawah, it was advised to do that politely.
