Pakistani Taliban Test Fires Indigenous Missile ‘Omar-1′ Successfully

A day after the announcement of Pakistan-China’s joint research venture, militant organisation Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) which is also known as Pakistan Taliban claimed to have test fired their first indigenously developed missile.

The TTP named it as ‘Omar-1’.

The TTP, to justify the research, released a video along with a press note describing and demonstrating the missile.

The video, according to a report, showed a militant assembling the missile before the launch.

We can easily assemble it according to the need and situation, the TTP spokesperson said.

Boasting about their engineering unit, the spokesman said that the militant group can develop modern weapons.

The accuracy and power of the missile will surprise the world, he added.

According to the statement, the TTP is now focusing on the use of technology which includes suicide vehicles, hand grenades and anti-jammer devices.
