Pakistani Representative shows wrong pic at UN - Indian media erupts

Get your facts right; it isn't painful, just involves an hour or two of reading. Learn the difference between princely states and British India. Suddenly things will get clearer.

At the time that the raiders came in, the Maharaja was still inclined to accede to Pakistan. This, in sporting parlance, is called a self-goal.

We remain, in the same geographical dimensions that we had; we are stronger, economically and in military ways; we have very wide international support. So who wins keeping up these generations of war and enmity? We?

I dont fcuk about your "differences"

it was a muslim majority state

The sub continent was in the midst of a brutal partition, the people of kashmir being an extension of Northern Pakistan in terms of faith, culture and language should have simply been given the freedom to seperate from hindu india

forcing a state with a Muslim majority under an indian occupied through force and duress went not only against the while purpose of Partition but created the wars, emnity and greed that followed

Why should Katju and Arundhati be controversial figures? Many of us support them. I loathe Zakir Naik, but that is my personal view. I disagree with Katju on many points, especially when he is offensive towards his former colleagues on the bench, for which he faced a contempt ruling, but he is needed. So is Arundhati Roy; she keeps us constantly examining our positions.

It is the hyper-nationalists who hate them; these are ill-read, inadequate people who take emotional positions on subjects that they know nothing about, and are guided by the views of manipulative people who exploit their gullibility and ignorance. Just like some Pakistanis who engage me in one-sided conversations.

Ask your millions of indians who made them controversial figures. Then come back to talk to me.

The day is not over!

You were suffering until the 1990s and the enourmous population, rise of hindutva and insurmountable social division is still to plunge the knife in and Pakistan will be ready

Read, and don't substitute it with a fcuk. Those aren't equivalent actions, whatever you might think. Only the Crown Colony was partitioned. Either read, or get someone to read to you, the India Independence Act. Most enlightening.

The people of Kashmir were not subjects of Great Britain, for starters.

You might like to consider the unwelcome thought that the crisis was precipitated by an insecure Dominion that wanted to grab by force what it was unsure of getting through legitimate means. Hint: contrary to Pakistani urban legend, that Dominion was not India.

Ask your millions of indians who made them controversial figures. Then come back to talk to me.

There are an overwhelming number of Indians on this forum who are bhakts and sanghis. Do they form my opinion? Whereas as far as you are concerned, your opinion is formed by newspaper headlines and your opinions are not thought through, they are acquired like ready-made garments. There is absolutely no desire on my part to talk to those who simply don't know, and worse, don't know that they don't know.

Maybe I got that wrong. Maybe that should be those who know that they don't know, but brazen it out to get publicity in a forum.

A hilarious image. Read the Panchatantra about the hungry fox that followed the bull, hoping to feast off the two bits of meat that were so obviously about to fall off. It starved to death in a cruel manner, deteriorating day by day. I'm sorry if it reminds you of something. Something hilarious.

LOL and Sohanam Mahajan is the sole arbitrator of truth!!! heheheheee , talk about fake news, Sohanam is in a league of her own.

Does it matter? what is the difference between you and israel anyway? both are ditto copy of each other when it comes to committing atrocities on Kashmir/Palestine.

There are so many pics like that on internet that now it's becoming hard to id whether it's Kashmir or Palestine.

Again your using the same insane argument

chaos was about to hit the sub continent, muslims and hindus wanted to seperate, there was a blood bath going on

Let the muslim area's seperate!, what did you think was going to happen by forcing a state full of muslims right next to Pakistan into a country full of hindu's

None of the people cared about semantics or some prick Raj, he didnt represent them

indian greed stole their future and has created the emnity of 70 years

Read the Panchatantra

I could do without reading your religious mumbo jumbo

There is no end to the race, its ongoing

I see major problems for india including major social strife and maybe even another partition movement

No argument, only facts.

That is the main difficulty; you think that having failed to shoot your way out of a situation you didn't like, you can now talk your way out of it.

Nothing was going to happen. Nothing did happen, until people tried to get into power by creating problems on their doorstep and fooling their people into thinking that these problems meant that they had to be the leaders. If feeling was so strong, how come there was no protest until the mid-80s, when money started flowing in?

There were 561 Indian states that followed their rulers into one Dominion or the other; that includes Bahawalpur, Swat, Hunza, Nagar....

These states were not accessories to either India or Pakistan because of their people's votes. You also forget that there was a legitimate political movement in the Vale and that legitimate movement did not come to power at gunpoint. That movement opted for India independent of the Maharaja.

You really need to get someone to help you, explaining these things. It's one thing to rave and rant, quite another to keep doing it when the facts are against you.

Meray piyaray humwatno. Stop with making excuses vis-a-vis our incompetent 'babus'. There's no defence for sheer incompetence @ such high stakes. The real world doesn't give second chances, which our people are accustomed to.

It isn't surprising to read you calling the Panchatantra religious mumbo jumbo. It had nothing to do with religion. But that is the nature of your contributions; ill-read and ill-informed and totally an imitation of football fan behaviour.

As for the race being ongoing, quite possibly so. What do you want us to do, keep looking over our shoulders?

Where you are a prophet of doom, I prefer a more cheerful approach. I see major opportunities for you in the future; a shawl, a tent and a crystal ball, and you can laugh all the way to the bank.

To other Pakistani members:

Please ignore this and other posts like this. This is the bad Joe, behaving badly with people on his 'little list'. There are only a handful of names (10) on the bad list, and a larger number (14) on the good list.

We have 70 years of war and emnity, what more do you want?

The decision to force a Muslim population of millions who hated hindus after partition was the cause of this mess

The answer to this day is give them a free referendum and vote, let them choosh and decide their future if Scotland csn do it, if catalonia can do it then so can Kashmir

You repeatedly beat around the bush to justify the occupation of a people who hate you

Great! Jump right in, this is the only worthwhile forum going. People are really good, except for a handful from various nationalities, but it is possible to get a really meaningful discussion going. There was one recently between SoulSpokesman and two others which was classy.

Welcome to the forum.

BTW, this is off-topic, and I will get a rebuke; this should have been in the special forum dedicated for the purpose of welcoming new members. But just for once....

Unfortunately, you don't get the message. We are not bothered; you are. So what's the incentive to drive a knife through the constitutional basis for our state?

.
Whatever hue and cry by Indians; the messgae conveyed loud and clearly at international forum. This is enough.
