Pakistani man has been charged by a Dubai court for molesting a minor Indian girl inside the elevator of a residential building, a media report said.

According to the prosecutors on Thursday, the 35-year-old man, who was a delivery worker by profession, inappropriately touched the 12-year-old Indian girl inside the residential building's lift on June 16 while on his way to drop a package, the Khaleej Times reported.

The Pakistani national, however, denied the accusation in the Dubai Court of First Instance, it said.

The incident was reported at the Al Rafaa police station.

During the probe, a 34-year-old Indian housewife said the girl came to her house for their usual private tutorial session in mathematics.

"She had to go back to her place to bring some papers she had forgotten. However, when she came back, she looked pale and she was crying and shaking," the report quoted the woman as saying.

The girl then told her how the delivery worker walked inside the lift and groped her while asking about a certain address.

The woman then requested a neighbour to check the surveillance cameras in the security guard's room.

The CCTV footage showed the man heading to the fifth floor to drop a package. But he changed his way and followed the girl without delivering it.

The man was subsequently arrested and produced before the court.

He will be sentenced on September 16.

Are you really a senior member here, do you read before replying ? There was CCTV footage and he was already presented in the court. What nonsense comment is this ?

No one has been found guilty or sentenced.

However, the question is why is this even news? Things like this happen everyday in every country but barely make it into the news, then why is the Khaleej Times, based in an Arab country, reporting on some alleged incident concerning specifically Indian victims and Pakistani aggressors?

Also, why do Indian atrocities in Kashmir and behaviour of the general Indian populace show such obvious connection, but with the roles reversed?

Such obvious propaganda by an Indian run newspaper.

Again the Hindu UAE nexus. It is going to get nastier folks.

This is only the beginning.

You both represent nationalism in its most disgusting form. This has nothing to do with religion. The UAE justice system is the most impartial one there is when it comes to expats.

Here a disgusting man abused a minor, and there's substantial CCTV footage but the victim is a Hindu and Indian, while the harasser is a Muslim and Pakistani, so according to you it's because of "Hindu nexus."

Kindly get off your high horse. Call wrong as wrong.

Just because you don't see it on Defence forum doesn't mean they don't post it. I have seen so, so many such articles by Khaleej Times on incidents like these. Not the first time.

This forum is like this. It is riddled with the worst kind of nationalists who are also racist. Don't pay attention to them. I think it's wholly sad.

Btw I will add, Even Indian expats commit many heinous crimes and that is reported here, so no one should rage out if such news about pakistan breaks out. These are crimes that need to be highlighted. The whole subcontinent should be enraged.

You must have a subscription for the Khaleej Times while sitting in Pakistan according to your profile, or specifically go looking on the Khaleej Times website for it's usual anti-Pakistan propaganda.

I don't believe a word you say.

Don't bother quoting me in the future.
