Asian men and BNP candidate Bob Bailey clash in Barking

A fight broke out between a British National Party parliamentary candidate and some Asian men as party members were out campaigning in east London.
Some men earlier swore at leader Nick Griffin and threw fruit at him and he was taken away from the scene.
The candidate for Romford, Bob Bailey, was filmed shouting out to men in Ripple Road when one of them swore and spat at him and Mr Bailey punched him.
Police were called after 1500 BST to the fight between the two groups.
'Campaign of hatred'
At the time Metropolitan Police said they were called to the incident but no-one had been arrested at the scene.
Later however, police said an 18-year-old man attended Barking police station and alleged common assault against another man.
The Barking Community Safety Unit is to look into the matter.
When asked about the fight Mr Griffin told BBC London the fight was the result of a "campaign of hatred and dehumanisation against any group of people, in this case us".
He said: "I think people have to realise that the people have spoken, this is a democratic vote and everyone has to go along with that, whether its us, our opponents or people on the streets, and if there are a few crazies or thugs on the streets I'm sure the police will deal with them quite quickly.
"The more people in the media talk this up as an issue, the more silly kids on the streets will be inclined to take the law into their hands."

There is a group called "Hope Not Hate", they are anti fascist group and have affiliation with one of the Unions and Labour party, they regularly send me emails(to all those who have subscribed), they sent me this video today and i yet have to watch it. But we shouldnt physically fight the BNP to defeat them, minorities need to improve their image and they also need to use their democratic right and vote, thats how we can have an impact on the BNP's future. I know quite a few people who simply dont get their a$$es out and vote, that is wrong. BNP dont have a good image as well, so not many people buy thier BS.

I am sorry to hear your remarks.These are not the remarks of a wise man. Stop being emotional and think this one out. BNP has a vote base because of deteriorating economic conditions in UK. Most of their supporters are ones who have lived their lives on DOLE and now think that immigrants are the root of all the ills facing Britain. However, for the most part British society and its people are peace loving and VERY TOLERANT, and they should be commended for that. By responding violently to these hate mongers you are playing into their hands by giving an impression that the BNP is important enough for you to care and be afraid of.
The place to defeat them is by ballot and on the debating floor. You have to firstly conduct your self in a manner to gain respect. Secondly, their arguments need to be countered by words rather than by physical actions. Mostly by ignoring them, you are denying them the publicity that they crave.
But by stupid actions like fighting with them, you indirectly prove them right.

I agree with a lot of what you say.

People outside the country don't realise how this country has changed. In whole areas of the country you can't see a British face. They have literally become a minority in their own country.

The recent maastricht treaty has let in thousands (more than a million) eastern europeans who compete with the locals for work. The total abuse of the asylum system has meant another million people here for 'political asylum'. And that is apart from the illegals.

Native british simply cannot find work. In the face of all this they have shown remarkable toerance; how long this will last is another matter.

But sometimes you really have to fight the worst of the racist thugs...full marks to the asian young men in the video.

Here is another one who has not had his morning coffee!!!.
Bhai, if bombing the heck out of iran was so easy, why do you think Israel and US have not done it so far. While I appreciate US and Israeli military might the one thing that they lack is the ability to sustain human losses. This stems from the fact that most of the wars the US has fought have been for political causes and problems not directly realted to or involving the US itself. Israel is another case in point!! They are allright to bash the poor palestinians to hell, but when it came to the Egyptians gving them a bad time in 73' they went on and made a peace treaty with them. Have you ever thought why??
Now look at Iran and what the targets are. Firstly, as a nation there is no doubt the Iranians are united. They have always been fierce fighters and their war against Iraq(and the rest of the west and Arab nations) after 8 years ended in a stalemate which in its own rights was a great achievement. Next to Iran lies Pakistan and when you bomb a Nuke installation, the radiation cloud will cause havoc in the middle east and pakistan. How do you think pakistan will react. Do you think we will stay quiet and do nothing watching possibly millions of people die of radiation exposure, or will we reciprocate and destroy Demonah? Then what will the US do? Will it defend Israel or watch its pet pup die. if it steps in, what will happen. It nukes pakistan, Pakistan Nukes India on its way out, and so on and so forth. Before you know it you have a nuclear disaster of mammoth proportions and radiation exposure killing all and sundry all over the world.
One needs to think of the futility of these war mongerings, but need to realize that Iran is a hornets nest which is best left undisturbed. it certainly is not Iraq.

That may yet be the case. However, only by not using our right to vote and by remaining ignorant will we be led down that route. There are a lot of people of asian descent who contribute to the development of UK and its industry. It is our taxes as well that keep the governments running. So the wheel works both ways. The foreigners do the jobs that the brits do not want to do. If there is a revolution type of change in UK, then yes we will have to leave , but this situation could be the case if there was a Sindhi uprising against the Mohajirs in Sindh. The thing that i want to say is that circumstances should be changed by the means available without worrrying about the worst case scenarios. Britain may yet go BNP way, but that does not appear to be happenning at the moment. SO lets do the things that we can now, to prevent a worse future!!

In my opinion, the Pakistani community living in UK have not tried hard to integrate, achieve higher education and economic self reliance. Pakistanis lag far behind Indians in UK and continue to fall behind. The BNP is focusing on Islam and Pakistanis for their hatred while Pakistani community themselves deserves some blame for their failings. There are many members in Pakistani community that do not take part in elections by voting. The Pakistani communities in Canada and US are much more integrated and have more success.
