The Afghan intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) accused religious schools (Madrasas) in Pakistan for encouraging Afghan children to carry out suicide attack.
NDS spokeman, Lotfullah Mashal said around 80 percent of the suicide attacks are carried out by children in Afgahnistan.

Mashal further added that majority of the children are encouraged in Pakistani Madrasas to for suicide attacks.

He said a number of the child suicide bombers who were detained by Afghan intelligence operatives have confessed that they were trained in Pakistani Madrasas.

According to Mashal, majority of the children who are used for suicide attacks are unaware that they die by pressing the button of the suicide vest.

Mashal said the children are encouraged in Madrasas that they will directly go to heavn by pressing the button and they are solely taken to Pakistan to prepare them for suicide attacks.

He said around 20 to 70 Madrasas are operating in Pakistan which are only training the Afghan children for suicide bombing and called on United Nations to take necessary actions to prevent the use of children for suicide attacks.

The deputy Afghan attorney general Noor Jalal said the parents of the children along with tribal elders and religious clerics should prevent the use of children for suicide bombings.

This comes as Afghan government has long been accusing the religious Madrasas in Pakistan for training the children for suicide attacks; however Pakistani officials have continuously rejected the allegations.
