Of course there is a cost. That cost materializes in a whole generation which has been rendered adrift, policy stagnation which has lasted over a decade and a half (imagine the cost of that, when just two years of a similar affliction can worry a far superior economy). They find themselves cornered in the larger world of geopolitics, pushed into China's arms, local industry rendered impotent as their benefactors take over. Today their mines, their ports and even their roads are not their own. Platforms of strategic import come under soft loans, from the Swedish chamber of commerce to their all weather friend. A perpetual deficit is being run by the government and the sectors of the economy left wide open for their "well wishers" to gobble up. The cost is immeasurable but the bearers of it are asleep and content with the hope of a final victory.

For us, the losses are indeed sentimentally devastating and yet materially insignificant. The financial cost at least is not nearly as much as it is made out to be. We can not only sustain it but increase it as and when we see fit.

its fucked up in some places thats about it and some places have it figured out, however the government needs to be involved in straightening out these sardars in sindh and balochistan.
