Pakistani IT Exports Cross $1 Billion Taking Clients From Indian Companies

Why phrase it like it? The title was a clickbait for indians. Now they will be all over this thread like, flies on hot s***. An achievement, needlessly thrown into this rivalry. We need to keep it humble, there is no need to toot our horn, for such modest achievements.

TCS,

Apple is the largest company by market cap, period. Not just in the IT industry either. Then there's Microsoft, Google, Tencent, Facebook, Alibaba, and a fair few others. Apple, Microsoft, and Google are companies worth trillions of dollars in market cap and you are comparing them with a company that was worth 168 Billion. There's a reason why no one accepts Indian sources or news.

As of Feb 2021, after the temporary hike to 168 billion on the 21st of Jan, TATA's market cap has fallen back to $150.64 billion (#79). Accenture's is at $169.89 billion (#67).

Wait, you hate the US why are you in favor of exporting software to the US?
Everyone hates the US (for obvious reasons). It's the norm - so why even try spinning it into a joke?

This is what Pakistan claimed in 2017

"
Pakistan IT export reaches $2.9 bn

ISLAMABAD: Due to government incentives to IT and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITeS) industry Pakistan’s IT exports have grown to an estimated $2.9 billion, which includes Pakistani freelancers estimated to be earning more than $300 million annually.
While talking to APP, Managing Director Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Iftekhar Shah said, government incentives to the IT & ITeS industry include income tax exemption on IT exports till June 2019, 100% foreign ownership, 100% repatriation of capital and dividends, 3-year tax exemption for IT startups, and tax holiday for venture capital funds till June 2024. He said, Pakistani domestic market for IT & IT Products and services is also strong, estimated at over $ 500 million in annual revenue, and growing rapidly."

KARACHI:

Pakistan’s export of Information Technology (IT) and IT-enabled services (ITES) amount to $2.2 billion in fiscal year 2014-15, according to Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Managing Director Asim Husain.

In an emailed response to The Express Tribune, PSEB’s chief said freelancers’ contribution in the IT exports of FY15 was $100 million - one-third of $300 million the IT sector generated from domestic sales during the year under review.

I remember how everyone on PDF cheered and spoke of the imminent demise of India's IT and Pakistan the new Tiger with billions of IT exports. That was 2015 and in 2021 they are cheering It exports crossing a Billion. Seems to be peddling fast in reverse or none of these figures can be trusted.

There other years when Pakistan claimed even higher IT exports

The previous governments of you know who have screwed this country so much that it's like a woman from heera Mandi who's learning how to walk again after spending her whole life on her back getting screwed.
So it's gonna take time.

are you stalking me? For someone who claims to hate white people - you sure crave our attention.

To answer your question, many Pakistanis hate America and Americans but they will be first in line to take our money, our visa and a piece of the American pie.

That level of hypocrisy is unfathomable or is the depth of their hatred so shallow?
I often wonder if the Pakistanis I know in real life harbor such resentment.

I don’t see it in their eyes or sense it in their words or deeds.
Perhaps I should leave PDF before it sours my real word relationships.

i will always remind you narrow minded crackers on where you stand.
look at the world today. it is a world where the white american is the ultimate villain and for good reason. not only abroad but at home in the states as well. you are the 'bad guys'.

and the worst part is that honkeys just cant take a hint. the character of people that you had entertained as presidents or congressmen is proof of how low white americans have gone.

so long as crackers show that honkey attitude of theirs i will always call them out. the world has had enough of this hubris

Pakistan’s have gained better credibility than those in any other country in South Asia,Pakistani are a bit expensive, but they complete the job as per agreements with their clients, so they have earned a good name.

It was extremely unprofessional of the author to bring India into the discussion. The article would have made a point by limiting the discussion to Pakistan's exports. We are not defined by India, and we should not measure our success through the yardstick of Indian accomplishments or failures. We need to grow up as a nation.
