Pakistani female powerlifter wins four gold medals in Singapore

Yes, they should. But this should not make us forget that there are still biological differences that we should not try to overcome. Otherwise you get a circus show like how they have in the West where no one knows who's a male or a female anymore.
Remember, that's why their are categories and rules which are gender specific in such games.

Smart, strong, and beautiful! My dream girl! :smitten:

Great to see Pakistani women becoming strong, independent and progressive.

Yes, I agree.

Right. However we should still keep in mind that this should not become the major preoccupation. There are more pressing goals in life that will do far more good for our country than a sports competition like raising honest and well-mannered children to be good Pakistani citizens.

Remember, women are much better at doing multiple tasks simultaneously than men.

Unfortunately Pakistani women are far behind their male counterparts. It is awesome to see these kind of developments.

No country can progress by side lining half of their population just because of their gender.

More power to this girl and hopefully she will be an inspiration for other girls in Pakistan.

Mubarak ho Pakistan ka naam roshan karne ka shukria.

Allah made each and everyone with different qualities some more than others. All men are not equally physically strong, same way all females are not physically less strong and sensitive. whatever ability Allah gave you, use it for you and your country's betterment.

some esteemed Pakistani members discouraging this young girl is not helping Pakistani image or us in anyway.

I think Pakistanis need to step away from "soft" sports like Cricket and go into more physical sports like boxing where I think we will fare much better.

Then we can have the great Qadri match on street...dont we have enough violence already?

Good for her, I guess. Not sure what she's trying to prove.

Andhow exactly does this help the average Pakistani on the street?

Abba Hazoor ab is ka rishta karwa dain bachi bigar gai ha .. :P :P

I have no issue with sports for men.

But I don't understand what we're trying to prove by showcasing women in men's roles?

Who's "respect" are we trying to earn?

Also, how come no one is just as eager to remove all men from the Army and replace them with women? Why don't we get women generals too then?
I wonder why you are not still banned. You can show your hurt butt with your old id why you needed another one.

. .
Yes. Don't get me wrong I support all women getting training to use self defense and guns but only because it serves an actual necessarry purpose.

But in the end I still want them to be women. I don't want them to be just like men

Again:

In what measurement have they outperformed men? Did they win any battles?

And would you celebrate just as much if a Pakistani guy became the first man to get pregnant and give birth to a child?
 YOU are nobody. So your "I" does not count whatever your "I" want to see women in whatever role. So better shove your "I" into your donka with a pinch of phaaki. Shaid apko afaka ho jaye naa howa to samjhain you are incorrigible

.
Why even have such silly contests unless the lifters are doing something extraordinary? I warm up on the bench with what she's squatting.

Get some heavy weight women in there and see what they can do.
