Sheer purpose of this thread is to know different opinions of fellow Pakistanis on Pakistan’s electronic media in general. What are the flaws? And how should it be fixed.

Ok I personally believe, our news channels are goons too. They humiliate politicians & get away with it using the “freedom of media” & on contrary, make people apologize if any politician even speak little harshly.
I am totally against it.

Just recently they made Fayaz Chohan apologize (not really fam of him) but boycotting for calling media “shameless” is actually shameless of media.
He was right, in my opinion, when he said, not every time is good for questions.

I find the news channel to be very unprofessional at times, with loud music, poor presentation and overly dramatic scenes.

And another problem I noticed is that every other news is 'breaking' news!

I think they need to adopt "less is more" approach and be more professional. Perhaps it all comes down to lack of, or poor standard of education.

Let the market dictate who lives and who die no more government funding on the whole ad scenario
As for media im im gene well we no to relax rules for entertainment and enforce them for news channel in recent light of an explosion of anti state fake news

Fahashi, corruption (inc laundering) and propaganda sum up Pakistani media. This group of media houses are part of the 5G war against the nation.

How it should be fixed. By prosecution and cancellation of licenses.

It all depends on whether Pakistan can allow, or tolerate, freedom of expression in its media or not. Some countries allow media to function independently, while others want to control tightly what is expressed and in what manner. Once that basic choice is made, then the subsequent steps can be decided.
