Once Supreme court starts investigating and comes to an end result. We are most likely going to see this lot in jail not in parliament.

Pretty much like that but initially, IMO, it will be disqualification as per prayer of Sheikh Rasheed and JI's petitions then the leaks and corruption investigation (which may take time as financial cases does) will lead the royal family to jail hopefully, or any other culprit.

Breaking: FWO to construct 46bn rupees Gilgit-Skardu Road

Gilgit: The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) has been selected through a bidding process for construction of the Gilgit-Skardu Road. The project will be completed at a cost of 46bn rupees.

Speaker GBLA Fida Muhammad Nashad confirmed the report while talking to Pamir Times this evening.

The people of the four districts – Skardu, Ghanche, Shigar and Kharmang- in Baltistan Division had been demanding repair, upgrading and widening of the Jaglote-Skardu road, which is in a dilapidated condition due to natural disasters and wear and tear.

The road is an economic lifeline for the people of Baltistan, apart from being very important for defense and tourism.


Snow Leopard Conservation Project in Basho Valley comes to an end

Skardu: (PR) Baltistan Wildlife Conservation and Development Organization arranged a closing ceremony event for “Snow Leopard Conservation Project in Basho Valley” funded by USAID Small Grant Ambassador Fund Program” at a local hotel. The purpose of the event was to share success of project interventions and lesson learnt with participant. Officials from Wildlife Department and Forest Department, Livestock Department, CKNP, Postal Life Insurance, Sadpara Development Project, media, BCDF and Village Organistaoins participated in the event. Mr Ismail Zafar former Conservation Forest was also present.

Ghulam Muhammad General Manager BWCDO welcomed all the participants and briefed them about BWCDO’s intervention for Snow Leopard conservation in the Baltistan region. The Project Manager Mr Ejaz Hussain gave a detailed presentation on different project interventions in Basho Valley for Snow leopard conservation. Mr Ismail Zafar and Qasim Naseem also expressed their views. They congratulated on completion of SGAFP and appreciated the BWCDO efforts for conservation of snow leopard in Baltistan.

Chief guest Kacho Imtiaz Haider Khan Member expressed his views on role NGOs in wildlife conservation and Natural Resources management and development in Gilgit-Baltistan. He appreciated and congratulated for successful completion of snow leopard conservation project in his constituency

OEC organises educational expo in Astore

Isalamabad: OEC carried out Expo in Astore on 17th September 2016. It was headed by the president OEC Expo Mr. Zahid Hussain, along with two team members Mr. Usman and Mr. Tajuddin.

Team OEC expo was warmly welcomed in Astore by the faculty and students of two government schools. The strength of students participating in this expo was around 70.

The session was formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The introduction of OEC and its objectives were addressed to the audience. The career counseling session included a brief overview about the subjects that are selected on intermediate level and admissions into different universities. Our speakers linked their own field of study with the undergraduate level and gave the students a deep insight into the pathway to their future plans. The students actively participated in this session by asking different questions.



The students were also made aware about various scholarships offered in school and university level. In this regard, OEC’s empowering sponsor Central Asian Institute Gilgit (CAIG) was introduced. The students were encouraged to apply for need base scholarship offered by CAIG.

At the end of the session the principal of the government school Astore was invited to share his thoughts regarding this event. He applauded

Team OEC’s endeavors in enlightening the students, residing in rural areas of GB. He invited team OEC cordially to conduct more of such productive events in Astore.

Snow Leopard Conservation Project in Basho Valley comes to an end

Alongwith snow leopard the "Brown Bear" needs to be conserved .. Its only 8 left I think so..:(

Even Markhor is endangered..:cry:



Ahhh I'll be traveling on that Astor road soon and from there to Gregot and then to Turshang and form there to Rupal and finally NP base camp...:smitten:

actually brown bear are not endangered last time i went to my village a couple of bears were killed as they had attacked the livestock which is not common the reason is that their numbers have grown and and they need more food
 


More evidence that if Pakistan wasn't created, we'd face a fate far worst than the Palestinians or Jews of Nazi Germany. Then you have indians on PDF claiming that Pakistanis are racially the "same" as them or that all people from the south Asian region are "1" people. These claims are completely false and ridiculous. It's almost as silly as saying that Germans and Nigerians are "1" people, "1" race.....lol. Also if Pakistan wasn't created, a beautiful race of people with a unique way of life would cease to exist.
