Pakistani cinema nosediving again?

New trailers for movies over the last year have been poor. Most are Indian knock offs and comedy nonsense.

Where is the cinematic experience?

Is Pakistani public not mature enough to handle complex cinema?

Pakistani film industry has been below average despite the new faces coming around. Stories are wayward, ideas mostly unoriginal and screenplay very weak. The last movie i watched was Waar which was more of an effort to sell patriotism and some attempt to show good stunt scenes. The only Indian movie I've seen is Mohinjo Daro which was good maybe because i went in with a sub-zero expectations.

Bollywood is completely devastated from inside, even B –Grade movies plan is not working for Bollywood, our cinema twisted a new look and most of the movies can be compared to block buster Hollywood, can’t give the examples. Google is there to search.

If Bollywood continues openly in Pakistan, then Pakistani production houses will try to take up an "alternate cinema" space i.e. Not Bollywood.

This theory makes sense but I haven't seen this actually happening in practice. Last such movie was 'Bol' but such movies are few and far between.

Seen Actor in Law & Janaan, both were great. Looking forward to Lahore Se Agay the sequel to Karachi Se Lahore next month.

What nonsense. I would accept this if this was the 1 movie like this but all of the new trailers are just like this.

A roadtrip, love story and bollywood singing and dancing.

What shit. I am so disappointed. I thought after Waar and Moor trailer it was looking promising.

To sustain production value in a full movie like above and create many more, this is what I was expecting. But I have realised Pakistanis are only good at making short trailers and now all the movies are just romantic comedy with bollywood song dance rubbish.

all the pakistani movies i watched, i would say these movies are 100 times better than bollywood movies in every aspect. the industry needs time to grow.

Pakistan just needs to call upon HollyWood Investors to invest in advertising of their movies Online and Offline in Pakistan. Then, you will see HollyWood taking away the whole Pakistani market.

Pakistani movies budgets are small, at least for now. On top of that cinema owners take 50% share in box office gross, this doesn't happen anywhere in the world.
