Got this email so wanted to share
Pakistan's women football team has just reached the semi-finals of the SAF cup tournament being played in Bangladesh by beating Afghanistan 3-0.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan beat Maldives 2-1. The two goals in tuesday's match were Pakistan women's first ever international goals.
The team will play its last pool match against Nepal on saturday. Our likely opponent in the semi-final will be India (which is expected to top the other pool, while Nepal are the favorites to top Pakistan's pool.
The lack of coverage in our media is disappointing and this is what prompted one to send this message on this list. They're a young team and have just scored their first two international victories; they deserve at least some coverage and encouragement.
Here are some links.
I think this website gives the best coverage... They will probably have a
report on the pak-afghan match too, later on.
