Pakistan: We Will Have Our Vengeance

On December 16, 2014, Peshawar suffered a terrorist attack that shook the conscience of not only the nation but the entire world. 132 children and 11 Staff members were killed in cold blood by Tehreek-e-Taliban in an unjustifiable act that crossed all limits of human decency.
First there was shock, and then there was despair.

The despair quickly turned into anger, as the whole nation struggled to collect itself after losing its most valuable innocent assets. What was their crime? Being associated with those that fought for our nation’s well being.

It soon became evident that the nation would retaliate in a common voice as all institutions and segments of Pakistan society stood united in anger and defiance of the terrorists. This video-edit captures the emotions we have faced over the past few days.

WE WILL FIGHT BACK. WE ARE NOT SCARED ANYMORE. We will have our Vengeance

The effect of this work is not to portray a news event. Rather, it has been transformed to promote a narrative for a State (Pakistan) in relation to its fight against extremism .

Still makes me emotional,so sad.God bless Pakistan.

If someone needs to learn anything about this nation from our history then it's that we are a nation made of and from stupidity. We are stupidly unaware of what is good for us, stupidly engaged in petty differences, stupidly unforgiving of our own, stupidly oblivious of our obligations towards our country but we are also massively, utterly, inexplicably and stupidly defiant and stubborn in the face of all adversity.

For the many things we have shown to lack, one thing which we have in abundance is grit with a pair made out of steel; we do not get intimidated. The swine would be better served understanding that they'll need to cut us all down if they are to stand any chance, for we are a crop arrogant enough to stand stiff against our own peril. For better and for worse, we are insane; we do not get scared, we get mad.

@Irfan Baloch Whats the situation with the operations in Tirah, N.Waziristan and so on? Has Pak Army started to "act as an army" now against TTP and its affiliates?

Any inside info will be appreciated..whats going on. Please tell us.

Bhutto, a civilian started Islamization not Zia.
Army did whatever suited our National intrests. They may have made some blunders but they are paying in blood for the foolies of not only themselves but of everyone in Pakistan.

Zia himself was a hanafi Sunni Muslim and not an extrimist
Deobandis are also Hanafi.....
TTP ,LEJ are mostly deobandis i-e desi school of thought. Very few of them are what you call wahabis.

Terrorism has to be defeated with an iron hand. We cannot let these Talibani mass murderers dictate to us what Islam is or is not. No where where we disagree a people raise arms against the sovereign state declaring the entire country kuffar. This is a null logic. We need to eradicate the terrorist menace so utterly that it never raises its evil head in Pakistan ever again.

my dear, I don't want to pretend that I know more than that needs to be known.

poetry aside. yes I do get some insider information but it remains unconfirmed and there is no point spreading rumour

the war in those parts of the country is really fierce so to answer you in plain language. yes the terrorists are getting the dose they deserve. this is why many of them are running to settled areas and now taunting and mocking us behind the safety of places like Lal masjid. there are places in our cities where the plans are hatched to behead our citizens and soldiers and blow up places of worship. these are the places that need to be taken out like any worthy force defending the state will do

Where is our intelligence network? Pests who are infesting our cities should be tracked down, and cleansed. Why can't intelligence+rangers/Police Special Units raid these places of suspicion? Entire nation is behind them, political forces (major one's) are behind them...

What is stopping us from cleansing our country from this menace?

Brother i'm no expert in the field but did you not notice that police and agencies are doing operations on daily basis on intelligence .In Karachi on daily basis , news of number of terrorist caught comes up , or number of them killed . Just yesterday 11 were caught .Rangers are doing this on everyday basis on intelligence with the help of different agencies .
It's not as easy as it sounds cleansing up a city , army can't tell the citizens to evacuate and do an operation similar to Zarb-e-azb , so this operation will take time and patience and heck of an effort ,till now doing a good progress . Target killings and different crimes have drastically fallen in Karachi and different cities , especially after Zarb-e-azb , personally think within the end of this year we will hear some very good-awaited news.

I see him as a fundamentalist general who wanted to shape Pakistan according to his ideologies. ZuH (for that matter Musharraf too) were desperate to get acknowledged by the Americans and ergo they extended support to US of A. Somehow I think that there is a stubborn and almost eradicable myth in Pakistan that the PA is all that stands between Pakistan and chaos. The peddlers of this myth forget the fact that it was the army which ended Pakistan's hopes of a secular, democratic future. Btw not so long ago I also believed Pak would do well under its army than under NS.

The U.S. has historically had a very a very substantial interest in Asia for economic purposes, due to the immense population, as they saw vast potential consumer markets in the future, their greatest religion being consumerism.

The greatest potential markets they saw were China and India with two-fifths of global population residing between two countries. They were unable to make significant inroads, as Chinese considered American capitalism an antithesis to their state policy. Similarly India too, in the first few decades after independence was more influenced by socialist policy and closer to Russia for the U.S. to be able to make any significant inroads.

So the next best thing was to get involved in Pakistan, and people like Zia and Musharraf made this possible.

They were not working in the interests of the people, as is often the case with dictatorships, and let Pakistani soil be used for the furthering of American objectives, without regard for the collateral damage of it's own citizens. Which is continuing till date. 16-12-2014 being the most recent example.

Recently America has taken strong positions against terrorism, post 9/11, when they became the victims themselves. And statements for Pakistan like "if you feed snakes, they will bite you" doesn't tell the whole story, as America was equally complicit in feeding the snakes, till the snakes bit them in 9/11.

For Pakistan, APS is just the beginning, and the fight will not be over till they stop the demarcation between good and bad terrorists. Something I don't see happening in the next few decades at least.

Always Remember the 16th of December. Today marks 6 months since the horrific day that changed the course of Pakistan history.

The time has come for all entities (political, military, social & cultural) to unite and combat draconian terrorism, which is halting our nation’s progress.

Pakistan’s message is one of tolerance, peace, justice and inclusion. Do NOT let the terrorists hijack that message and twist the ideological narrative away from the essential principles. Fight for our rights. Fight for our children. Fight for Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad.

I have quick solution

Hafiz Saeed should have full state/ population support to raise an army of his like minded people and encouraged to go to Yemen and his expected route and timing notified to Indian navy.

Judges that freed terrorists changed with bombings and beheadings should be charged with treason and shot.

I wish more people in Pakistan start thinking like you, especially those in the government and in the military top ranks!

Pakistan cannot conclusively win any war against terrorists unless Pakistan stops differentiating among the terrorists in terms of their "usefulness" in Pakistani foreign policy and military affairs. Selective extermination cannot control such pest infestation for long.
