Featured Pakistan wants to be treated like an ally, not a scapegoat - Washington Post

Good article and quite a few now coming out from the US, from different circles.
That being said the US needs as many people on board as possible. The headlines in Europe the day after the G7 summit were eye opening regarding the US being a reliable ally.....
Good article but see the comment section on Washington Post, 300 comments and everyone calling it a propaganda piece. Stating Pakistan as exporters of terrorism and how Osama Bin Laden was found here. No articles will help if the US citizens themselves hate Pakistan due to Indian propaganda over years and also ourselves to blame for Osama bin laden fiasco.

That's great. But what can it offer in return to make such treatment possible? That is the key question.

Ally is too strong a word. China is Pakistan’s ally. Nobody knows what Pak-US relations are yet. Let's see Afghanistan is viewed in a few months as the US is focused on evacuation and the Taliban have yet to form a government.

Under our mushraf lone stewardship, we lost 70k Pakistanis for a American leD war on terror. The Americans lost 3k in twin towers by Arabs. They can fck off with there blame game. Bin Ladan was Saudi not Pakistani he was hiding in our country. 70k dead shaheed we gave as a qurbani! Does anyone know which other stupid ally give this much blood and treasure. Respect yourself don’t wait for them to give it to you they will never do it.

Facts don't matter when we have zero media game and no one to care about our narrative.

That is called victim blaming at country level..

No one cares what US citizens think or believe. Fact remains that US was in Afghanistan for 20 years and achieved close to nothing. The Americans chose to ally with Northern Alliance thugs to pretend that they were spreading peace and prosperity for ordinary Afghans. The reality is very different.

Pakistan has moved on since US duplicity in Afghanistan. It is a well-known fact that the US and its NATO entourage were heavily involved in empowering India. This is not the old Pakistan of 1990. If the US blames and sanctions Pakistan it will only lose more influence in the region. Pakistan will feel the economic brunt. IMF won't likely receive its payments and Pakistan will be forced to work even harder at regional level. Is the US ready to cause more pain and anguish after wrecking Afghanistan? Is the US ready for an open rift in South Asia? Sanctioning Pakistan would literally mean turning a nuclear power of 200+ million people hostile against US interests. With the Taliban in power Pakistan is poised to let China and Russia in to conduct trade and exploit minerals. What can the US and NATO countries actually do other than causing more harm at this point?

Your question is what Pakistan can offer, for the US to be fair and truthful. Is there a price for justice and truth? Its like a judge asking the accused, "what can you offer, so I may give you a fair judgment?"

This is international geopolitics, not a court of law, so your analogy is simply inapplicable.

The proper solution is to build the media game to promote Pakistan's narrative. Nobody is stopping Pakistan from doing so.

Pakistan isn't going to build any narrative. We don't care about narrative. We care about interests and we secured them. India has no place in Afghanistan to sow unrest against Pakistan. Whatever the American people want to believe is their own problem.

Good point. It will become clearer in a few months or so.

That is what Pakistan would like, sure. What can it offer in return to help make it possible?

You keep asking for something in return. What would the US like in return? Enlighten us.

they want zardari and nawaz back as prime minister, our nukes and army dismantled, and Pakistan become P, A, K, I, S, T, A and N. I mean removed from the map as a country.
Only then they will be ready to offer us trades etc…

Now the Americans have become arrogant now.

There are alternatives to USA, such as China, EU, Russia, and Brazil.
