PAKISTAN WANTS A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UNITED STATES BASED ON PARTNERSHIP: MOEED YUSUF

wording is very important. Moeed said, "partnership", not alliance nor friendship. means we don't give two turds from modi's behind about being close friends with a snake like the u.s. and won't be any sort of a military ally either. we are only and ONLY partnering in with them on the afghan peace accord, nothing more, nothing less.
So much hate for US yet still living there?

Le Hippo-cracy.

.
Doesn't Moeed have a US passport as well ?

I hope it doesn't get cancelled

You don't know shit.

You should worry about your compatriots in other countries that, even after giving up Indian citizenship to get foreign citizenships, only care about furthering Indian interests.

Not an Indian.

But kudos to the Chinese, Indians and Israelis for penetrating into the American goverment. It's called lobbying. In fact kudos to even Thai, Japanese Vietnamese etc for atleast making their culture known in America.

Better than to be an economic migrant to America working a 9 to 5 bitching about the same country they live in.

I am actually curious where are you from. I see two flags of Pakistan on your profile...

. .
I am actually from Pakistan.
Cool thanks. :) Btw I live in USA and have a life was born and raised in Pakistan. So I have soft corner and allegiance for both. I don't bad mouth either. I do agree it is hypocritical. I rather be open and transparent about this.

Nice. I was moving to the USA for masters before COVID too.

Now plans are on hold.

The word you're after is opportunity. You're constantly whinging about how terrible Pakistan is yet you're still living there.

Either your life personally is great, or you haven't had the opportunity to leave.

For whatever reason he has had the opportunity to live in the USA, and has decided to make the most of benefits that come with that.

One of those benefits is the right to criticise.

I want to make Pakistan a better place. Idealistic I know but it is what it is.

Expats sitting abroad holding on to regressive views amd wishing the same for Pakistan piss me off.

Freedom to criticise is good. It's what makes the West the best. But holding Crusade-ish views and harboring resentment against the Western value system (judging scantily clad women, hating gays, keeping away from non muslims etc) is not okay. Many expat Pakistanis are plagued with this disease.

he is an indian

Pakistan is less important than its neighbors - India, China and Iran

Any of the other Muslim states can acquire nukes

There is nothing powerful about a country that goes on an annual begging bowl

You have given hundreds of billions of dollars to Israel, and still giving.
Yet, it is you who goes begging to Israel, what can we do for you, our master.

What a pitiful nation, begging to the beggars. Have some shame.

I want to address 2 different issues.
Firstly...

You seem like a very reasonable person in most of your posts, but your projecting your biases onto other people. Much like Indus who you had a disagreement with about his alt-race views.

The post you quoted suggested nothing of what your accusing overseas Pakistanis of. There is no expression of hatred towards America and even if there was - so what? You can hate what a country is doing, aspects of the country, what it has become without hating people.

Maybe he wants his second home to not be a bully on the international stage? Maybe he hates American imperialism and foreign policy?

If he was the descendant of English immigrants who had come over, wiped out the natives, got rich off slavery and today had turned into a woke liberal you'd be completely fine with him describing America negatively.

Second...

What's it got to do with me? Well I'm sick of people who seemingly have a good life in Pakistan, have had great opportunities are from a comfortable background (a lot of assumptions I know) shitting on the opinions of expat Pakistanis.

When it suits you guys call us out for leaving, when it suits your calling us out as some sort off oddball outcast leaches, the list goes on.

The fact is many of us who are abroad are not the ones who initially migrated. It was our parents and they did so because of extreme poverty. People like me who live in the west have a whole range of political opinions, we have different religions values different social and economic status - we're not a homogeneous bloc.

There are plenty who would like to migrate back to Pakistan, not because we don't like where we are, but we love where we want to go. The only thing that holds us back is the condition of Pakistan. To live the comfortable lifestyle a middle class person in the west does, you have to be a rich person in Pakistan. Not all of us have the wealth or skill set to be that.

That is why, we also, just like you, want to see Pakistan improve.

Sorry for the long rant.

Back to the topic at hand. I like what Moeed said, it reflects the PMs opinions and those of many on this forum.

We need a relationship found on respect not the carrot/stick BS. Also we need to lose our national obsession with the F-16. The major focus on a relationship with the US should be as an investor and an export market.

The Americans have decisively lost the battle for hearts and minds all over the world, but especially in Pakistan. The deep state is in sour grape mode. It is aiding India to create ethnic and religious unrest in Pakistan. The US and its allies provide refuge to seperatists and terrorists in Pakistan. Many PTM and BLA terrorists are given asylum in Western countries including the US. Pakistan should keep the Americans at an arms length. The new Biden regime is the worst. Trump was neutral. We are back to square one in Afghanistan. The Biden regime is going to tear apart the Trump agreement and restore Indian appeasement. The Americans are not trustworthy. Pakistan should be under no illusion. The Democrats are India's best ally. It is during Obama's era that India reaped the most benefits.

This is what Pakistan should do. Continue to work with regional like-minded allies such as China, Russia and Iran. Iran has already shown the middle finger to India and teamed up with China. Pakistan should benefit from this sea change. We are all on the same page with regards to US presence in our region. It is unacceptable. We agree that US presence in our region is detrimental to our interests. The only way forward is to cooperate. At least in areas where our interests converge.

You should ask him what he thinks of the other half of America that disagreed with Trump's policies. Should these Americans leave their country because they "hate" their country?
