All though I am not in favor of Pakistan importing electricity from any where, because Pakistan is fully capable of producing electricity without any problem. Pakistan needs to make more dams & Pakistan can be home to world largest solar & wind mill energy, but since corrupt & incompetent politicians are only wasting Pakistan time by not making anything for energy sector, China is the best option for importing electricity for time being.

Its better to clean up the current grid which is leaking electricity and being siphoned from.

Ive heard that some neighbourhoods who have a low rate of payment for electricity get shut out of the grid during shortages while paying neighborhoods get better consistency in supply.

It is one way to solve the power shortage temporarily, OK for the time being.
In the long run let's work out the permanent solution together e.g. nuclear power, clean energy etc.
Other than power generation, maybe it's worthwhile to check the grid too as @+4vsgorillas-Apebane pointed out.
Good luck bros!

Why you people bag every thing from China?? India can help you!!
I think there was a talk about importing 1200MV from India but looks like the decision was cancelled after hostilities on border from India.

Import surplus from China is a win-win situation for both countries. Pakistan needs to continue to pursue energy generation projects in parallel for a medium to long term solution.

.
why not import a prime minister from china? im sure he'd e much more efficient than the current one.
