I have noticed Japan always helps Pakistan in time of need. Better some of the "brotherly" countries.

The Government of Japan will provide fifth tranche of assistance worth $4.003 million to the Government of Pakistan through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to support the government's efforts in combating the novel coronavirus disease.

Prior to this grant assistance, the Government of Japan had provided a total assistance of $ 3.410 Million to Pakistan through UNICEF, IOM, IFRC and UNHCR for a similar support.

Through this assistance, the UNOPS would provide necessary technical assistance and equipment/material to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by considering situation on the ground, as well as to respond to the request it received from the Government of Pakistan. This support is likely to boost Pakistan’s capacity to quickly track the coronavirus affected and treat them accordingly, thereby reducing and delaying the local transmission of the virus and minimizing the serious illness and deaths due to COVID-19. Furthermore, it would also strengthen the ongoing health services during the fast approaching peak period of the pandemic and would help in minimizing its socio-economic impact.

Pakistan’s foreign policy, however, remained inactive with East Asia, for reasons unknown. Even though an active ”Go East” policy is the need of the hour inline with India’s ”Act East” policy. Pakistan’s foreign policy community has not broadened their focus beyond the country’s fundamental issues with India, Afghanistan, and the United States. Pakistan’s relations with Japan have drifted away in the past decade. In the past few years, there have been no high-level visits between the two countries. Today, the main issue might be the way China is welcomed in Pakistan, given Japan’s own tensions with its East Asian neighbor. Japan has historical differences with China and Pakistan has historically friendly ties with China. In the maritime dispute between China and Japan, Pakistan leans toward China; Japanese diplomats often grumble about this in private.
For Japan, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a source of irritation; Japanese analysts argue that Chinese mega projects will not produce tangible results for Pakistan. There has been no official response from Japan on CPEC as of yet; the Japanese government is reluctant to give its opinion because of the growing enmity with China. CPEC offers huge investment and collaborative opportunities, but Japanese companies are disinclined to join in for sake of US.

Hey dude on what basis have you deduced that Japan is against cpec?
They want to invest in cpec. Have been asking to invest In karachi circular or other projects for ages.
Now the main thing is the project of connecting punjab and balochistan and the steel bridges at Fort monroo are made by the japanese company who won the contract.
These countries are not fool like us. They keep their differences aside when it comes to economics.

Last year I have travelled through that bridge.
I went to fort Monroe from dera ghazi Khan.
That bridge is a engineering marvel seriously. That mountain of Koh I sulaiman was always a dangerous one specially that fort Monroe road to baluchistan but after that bridge it's a easy route of relatively short distance. Better for our transport economy. All fruit trucks carrying fruits from baluchistan to Punjab comes from that route.

Japan has been ripping us off with their low level autos they produce here. They give Arabs the best trims and we get tin cans. Dispicable display of classism and racism
