Pakistan to free Mullah Baradar this month

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will release former Afghan Taliban second-in-command, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, as soon as this month to help advance peace efforts in neighbouring Afghanistan, Pakistan’s foreign policy chief said on Tuesday.
“In principle, we have agreed to release him. The timing is being discussed. It should be very soon … I think within this month,” Sartaj Aziz, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s adviser on foreign affairs, told Reuters.
Aziz added Baradar would not be handed over to Afghanistan directly as some in Kabul had hoped, and would be instead released straight into Pakistan.

That's where he would feel most "at home", among people who support his ideology, people who regard afghan Taliban as heroes. After all, the entire quetta shura is based in - you guessed it, quetta.

He can't go to Afghanistan unless he wants to hang from a lamp post, because his enemies are in power there. Better to stay among friends and well wishers.

Mullah baradar was deputy of mullah omar and is very respected and influential figure among afghan taliban. It was america and afghan governament who were pressurizing pakistan for his release for qatar talks.

They have acquired pakistani nationalities through bribes. First they make domiciles of a district through bribes which is very easy task then then they make NIC from NADRA on the basis of that domiciles. Or when they have enough money, they directly bribe NADRA.

My point is that he did NOT come as a refugee.

And even if he has fake ID cards, they would be of no use to him, since everybody knows who he is, and what his nationality is. He is an afghan. He served as defence minister during the odious Taliban rule. He prefers to be released among friends in Pakistan than to enemies in Afghanistan.

ID cards r not fake and when he came into Pakistan no body knew who he is. It was latter when taliban came into power he became famous
even when karzai came to Quetta he was an ordinary man
